摘要: Object detection in wireless power systems and related system, methods, and devices are disclosed. A controller for a wireless power transmitter includes a measurement voltage potential input terminal and a processing core. The processing core is to determine an average of peak to peak amplitude differences present in sampled measurement voltage potentials for each of the plurality of transmit coils, determine a lowest average of the peak to peak amplitude differences, and select a transmit coil corresponding to the lowest average of the peak to peak amplitude differences to transmit wireless power to a receive coil of a wireless power receiver. A wireless power system includes a tank circuit selectively including any one of a plurality of transmit coils.

A power transmitting apparatus that wirelessly transmits power to a power receiving apparatus, the power transmitting apparatus comprises: determination means for, in a case where an initial impedance value and the detected output impedance value do not match and there is no change in the output impedance value between before and after the transmission of a predetermined detection signal, determining that a foreign substance is present within a predetermined power transmission range, and, in a case where the initial impedance value and the detected output impedance value do not match and there is a change in the output impedance value between before and after the transmission of the predetermined detection signal, determining that a power receiving apparatus is present within the predetermined power transmission range.

A controller for a wireless power transmitter is configured to receive a measurement voltage potential responsive to a tank circuit signal at a tank circuit, provide an alternating current (AC) signal to each of the plurality of transmit coils one at a time, and determine at least one of a resonant frequency and a quality factor (Q-factor) of the tank circuit responsive to each selected transmit coil of the plurality of transmit coils. The controller is also configured to select a transmit coil to use to transmit wireless power to a receive coil of a wireless power receiver responsive to the determined at least one of the resonant frequency and the Q-factor for each transmit coil of the plurality of transmit coils.

A circuit can detect an object inductively coupled to a wireless power transmitter. The circuit can further measure an input parameter prior to a power transfer stage, the input parameter can be one of an input current and an input power. The circuit can further compare the measured input parameter with a predetermined value. The circuit can further determine whether the object is a foreign object or the wireless power receiver based on a result of the comparison between the measured input parameter with the predetermined value.

The first radio direction finding system further includes a transmitting device. The receiving devices generate the output values in response to receiving a position signal transmitted by the transmitting device. The method includes determining a motion value of the vehicle. The method includes providing the obtained first output values and the motion value as input values to a model. The method includes determining a first relative pose based on the model. The method includes determining the relative pose based on the first relative pose.
