摘要： A manual paper management system for identification and processing of documents and organization of workstation miscellany including a number of trays called paper devices and assist devices, a display or support panel for supporting any combination of the various trays, a product development form for planning and layout of the paper management system hardware, and a template for making line drawings of the paper management system on the product development form to simulate the layout of the paper management system. The support panel has a modular square grid inscribed on its surface and apertures at the intersection of each of the grid lines for hanging the paper devices and assist devices from the panel. Paper device trays are left or right handed with a J-shaped cross section, and hang diagonally with respect to the support panel grid. Assist device trays have square U-shaped cross sections and hang squarely with respect to the support panel grid. Both tray type devices have tabs extending from their rear surfaces which engage the apertures of the support panel. The shape, orientation, and position of the trays on the support panel provide for the identification and processing of documents and organization of various work station items.

摘要： An element for document ordering with pigeon-holes is disclosed, where the ordering elements are inclined. The ordering element comprises a plate bent or folded for defining intersection angles (2) and walls (3) including a backing (3A), a support surface (3C) and a connection wall (3D) between the foundation base (3B) and the support surface (3C). An intersection angle (2B) and an intersection angle (2C) are formed with the latter. The ordering element comprises essentially a connection wall which is bent in the same direction as the backing (3A) in such way for forming with the said backing and the said foundation a U with unequal wings. The support surface (3C) is bent in a direction opposite to the foundation base (3B) relative to the connection wall (3D). The intersection angle (28) is provided to rest on one such surface (4). Another ordering element is placed on the said surface such that the backing (3A) is inclined versus the foundation base (3B).

摘要： A closed portable card file comprises a base, cover, retractable carrying handle and a releasable latch to hold the cover closed. The back of the cover is square and extends down behind the back of the base and is hinged near the bottom of the base so that when the card file is in closed condition the back of the cover is approximately perpendicular to the base and when the card file is open, the back of the cover lies approximately in the plane of the base. Hence the card file can stand upright on the back of the cover when closed. When the card file is open and rests on a horizontal surface, the cover stands upright and is retained in open position by its weight. The base has rails for receiving notched cards and guides, and ribs which are parallel to the rails and are of a height to engage lower edges of the cards and guides and thereby reduce wear on the notches which receive the rails.

摘要： A tickler file containing index cards arranged by date and containing data slips filed under the index cards in accordance with the date on the index cards. In order to permit ready access to the data slips in the tickler file by subject matter, rather than by date, the data slips are wider than the index cards and data slips and index cards are stored in a wide sidewise slanted file tray, so that all rest on the bottom and settle against the lower side wall of the file tray. Indicia relating to subject matter is applied to the edge of the data slips which project beyond the index cards. Said indicia can readily be scanned for particular subject matter by riffling the projecting side edges of the data slips.

摘要： A pivotal filing container is disclosed for storage and filing of magnetic computer disks or like generally flat articles. The container construction includes a generally rectangular outer support portion, and a relatively pivotal inner file portion which is pivotal between open and closed positions with respect to the outer support portion. In the preferred form, the inner file portion can be opened to a tray-like V-configuration when disposed in its open position, thus facilitating convenient review and inspection of magnetic disks stored within the file portion. To further facilitate convenient use, an indexing mechanism is provided to prevent unrestrained pivotal movement of the inner file portion to its open position after it has been moved from its fully closed position.
