摘要: The present invention provides a casing system for integration of modular internal intervention equipment in tubular lines, wherein the equipment comprises a plurality of modules (2), the casing system comprising a sleeve (1) encasing, in an integral manner, at least one module (2) of the plurality of modules (2) and at least one portion of at least one component upstream (3, 2) or downstream (2, 2a) of said at least one module (2). The integration casing system of the present invention guarantees the mechanical integration of all the modular internal intervention equipment, rendering viable the operation thereof inside tubular lines in a safer, more efficient and more advantageous manner.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a pig which is insertable at least partly within a fabric liner sleeve located in a duct and which is capable of heating the liner sleeve in situ in the duct to melt thermoplastic material of the liner sleeve to form, on subsequent cooling of the melted thermoplastic material, a rigid liner in the duct. The pig comprises: a gas inlet (1008) for receiving pressurised gas; a heating chamber (17) in which the pressurised gas is heated; and a gas outlet (1009) via which pressurised gas heated in the heating chamber (17) is deliverable to the fabric liner sleeve.
The pig comprises a tree diffuser (15) located in the heating chamber (17) via which pressurised gas can be delivered into the heating chamber (17).
The tree diffuser (15) has a plurality of branch pipes (A,B,C) each comprising at least one gas delivery aperture, each branch pipe (A,B,C) extending outwardly from a trunk portion of the tree diffuser (15).-

摘要: An untethered in-line inspection tool for the non-destructive testing of a tubular test component is described which comprises one or more partial saturation eddy current testing (PSET) modules configured to locate with an internal surface of the test component. The one or more PSET modules comprise a variable strength permanent magnet for generating a variable DC magnetic field within the test component and at least one eddy current sensor. Having an in-line inspection tool that employs PSET techniques allows the in-line inspection tool to operate with an increased range of pipeline types. For the detection of cracks the in-line inspection tool may also comprise one or more crack detection modules. The in-line inspection tool further comprises one or more battery modules. Employing a dedicated battery module removes any need to employ an umbilical or wireline in order to provide power to one or more electromagnets.

摘要: System and method for decommissioning a pipeline. The system comprises mechanical and chemical assemblies. The mechanical assembly includes a main body and a contact assembly. When the mechanical assembly is provided in the pipeline, the contact assembly is configurable to contact with the interior wall of the pipeline. The chemical assembly is arranged serially in line with the mechanical assembly. The chemical assembly includes a front section having a cross-sectional portion and a rear section having a cross-sectional portion. The front and the rear section are arranged in such a way that the cross-sectional portions of the front and the rear section cooperate with the interior wall of the pipeline to form a chamber to house a removal medium. The system and method can effectively and efficiently remove most or all of such residual mercury and/or other toxic substance from the interior wall of the pipeline before abandonment.
