Abstract: Apparatus and method for compiling an image is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a deflector, a detector, and a processor. The deflector is operable to deflect light incident thereon by a controllable angular deflection, and is arranged to receive light from a moveable field of view within a field of regard by controlling the angular deflection. The detector is arranged to receive deflected light and output an image component composed from the deflected light. The processor is arranged to control the angular deflection to select a part of the field of regard to be received at the detector, and to receive a sequence of such image components from the detector. The apparatus is configured to receive each image component passively, and the processor is operable to compile the sequence of image components to form a composite image of at least a part of the field of regard.

The processor may be configured to receive a first image being photographed at a first angle of view of the camera, receive a second image being photographed at a second angle of view of the camera, identify a subject in the first image according to predetermined criteria, generate a third image in which the identified subject is cropped according to a predetermined area of interest, and display the second image and the third image on at least a portion of an area in which the first image is displayed. Various other embodiments may be possible.

Abstract: Provided is an imaging apparatus that obtains a video with a resolution of satisfactory quality and a small angle of view from a video with a large angle of view through real-time image processing. A second thinning-out rate of the thinning-out drive of the second recording processing is set to be lower than a first thinning-out rate of the thinning-out drive of the first recording processing.

Abstract: An optical member driving mechanism is provided. The optical member driving mechanism includes a fixed portion, a movable portion, an electromagnetic driving assembly and an elastic member. The fixed portion has a base and a frame that is disposed on the base. The movable portion is movable relative to the fixed portion, and includes a carrier for carrying an optical member with an incident optical axis. The carrier includes a body and a sidewall that extends along the edge of the body, wherein the carrier further includes a first stopping portion and a second stopping portion protruding towards the fixed portion. The electromagnetic driving assembly drives the movable portion to move relative to the fixed portion. The movable portion is movably connected to the fixed portion via the elastic member.
