    摘要: A temperature-dependent switch comprises first and second stationary contacts and a temperature-dependent switching mechanism having a movable contact member and a temperature-dependent snap-action part, which transitions between geometric low- and high-temperature configurations based on a temperature of the switch. Switching the snap-action part from its geometric low- to high-temperature configuration moves the switching mechanism from a first to a second switching position and thereby opens the switch. A closing lock prevents the switch once having opened from closing again by keeping it in its second switching position. The closing lock comprises a fusible medium which melts when a melting temperature of the medium is exceeded, contacts, in a molten state, a part of the switching mechanism when it is in its second switching position, and solidifies again and thereby locks it in its second switching position when the temperature of the switch falls below the melting temperature of the medium again.

    摘要: A temperature-dependent switch which comprises a first and a second stationary counter contact and a temperature-dependent switching mechanism having a current transfer member. The switching mechanism, depending on its temperature, either closes the switch by pressing the current transfer member against the first and the second counter contact and thereby establishing an electrically conductive connection between the two counter contacts via the current transfer member, or opens the switch by keeping the current transfer member at a distance from the first and the second counter contact and thereby interrupting the electrically conductive connection. A closing lock is provided, which keeps the switch open when it has been opened for the first time. The closing lock comprises a spring washer which directly interacts with the current transfer member and mechanically locks the latter permanently when the switch has been opened for the first time so that the switch remains permanently open.

    摘要: A miniature safety switch is used in motor vehicle electronics. The miniature safety switch has a housing base, from which a fixed contact arm and a bimetallic contact arm, which has a moving contact and a bimetallic snap disk attached thereto, are led out.     摘要: A miniature safety switch is used in motor vehicle electronics.     摘要: A temperature-dependent switch having a housing that comprises a cover part with an upper side as well as a lower part with an inner circumferential shoulder and a circumferential wall above the shoulder, which wall comprises an inner side above the shoulder, has a temperature-dependent switching mechanism arranged in said housing. An insulating film is arranged between the lower part and cover part, which insulating film extends with its peripheral region onto the upper side of the cover part. The wall of the lower part is bent onto the upper side and thus holds the cover part on the peripheral shoulder with the insulating film interposed. Said temperature-dependent switching mechanism, depending on its temperature, produces or opens an electrically conductive connection between two contact areas provided externally on the housing. The cover part exerts a radially outwardly directed pressure onto the inner side of the wall via the insulating film.

    摘要: A thermally activated electrical interrupt device incorporates a thermally activated portion engaging with an electrical interrupt portion. The thermally activated material expands when heated, causing an interrupt control rod to open an electrical contact. When the interrupt device is placed into an interrupt state, a reset mechanism maintains the interrupt control rod in the interrupt state until specifically reset. An actuating shaft is in operational communication with at least one electrical contact. The actuating shaft is maintained in a thermal monitoring position until an interrupt control rod is moved via a thermally expanding material and engages with the actuating shaft, releasing it from the thermal monitoring position. The actuating shaft is projected via a biasing member to cause a change in state of the electrical contact. The actuating shaft remains in the interrupt state until the user resets the switch.

    摘要: A low cost thermostatic switch (10) has first and second scoop shaped terminal members (12, 14) having flanges (12e, 14e) received on ledges (20f) formed on opposed sidewalls (20e) of a housing (20). The terminal members are spaced apart with the distal end portions (20g) of the sidewalls of the housing bent over to clamp the terminal members to the housing with a strip (16) of electrical insulation placed therebetween. A movable contact arm (22, 22', 22") is cantilever mounted on the bottom wall (14a) of one terminal member (14) movable into and out of electrical engagement with a stationary contact (26) mounted on the bottom wall (12a) of the other terminal member. A motion transfer pin member (28) is adjustably mounted on the movable contact arm and extends downwardly toward a thermostatic snap-acting disc (30) received on a disc seat (20b) formed on the bottom wall (20a) of the housing with the disc adapted to transfer motion through the motion transfer pin member (28) to move the movable contact arm out of electrical engagement with the stationary contact (26) in one of the two oppositely dished configurations of the disc. A spring 32 is mounted in the housing (20) in a modified thermostatic switch (10') to maintain snap-acting disc on the disc seat (20b) regardless of the orientation of the switch. The switch is calibrated by adjusting the position of the motion transfer pin relative to a reference level to be within a selected gap and then deforming the sidewalls of the housing until the movable contact moves out of electrical engagement with the stationary contact (26).

    摘要: Movement of the diaphragm pad occasioned by change in pressure within the diaphragm in response to a change in sensed temperature causes the bowed actuating spring to increase or decrease the degree of flexure to actuate the switch. In order to accommodate the pressure variations induced by a wide range of ambient temperature conditions the diaphragm is preloaded by a second bowed spring. A cam mechanism can be provided to vary the flexure of the preloading spring to thereby adjust the temperature at which the switch will be actuated.
