    摘要： Disclosed is apparatus for feeding modules of seed cotton to disperser apparatus. The apparatus is capable of picking up, moving and delivering to the disperser the modules of cotton to be ginned, and further is constructed and arranged to load or discharge modules from either end of the apparatus and to run under a module or modules, thereby to reach one located more distantly from the disperser than the others. Also disclosed are various controls and safety devices for the apparatus.

    摘要： An inside-out cutter for material such as tow in which there is a single pressure roller, which roller has an outside diameter larger than one-half the inside diameter described by the cutting edges of the blades. The large diameter of such roller provides a gradual rather than an abrupt entrance-way for the fiber between the roller and the blades. The apparatus further is constructed to permit the movement of the pressure roller to be moved from a fiber cutting relation to the blades to a more centered position for removal of the roller from the apparatus, as when changing blades or the like.

    摘要： A baling chamber for fibers and the like having a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls, one of the end walls being split vertically and with its halves pivotally mounted to the pivoted side doors. Linkage mechanism is associated with the split end door to cause its parts to move away from the bale and away from each other when the side doors are opened. The mechanism also includes improved means for locking the walls together, such as a floating locking bar carried by one of the side walls and disposed to engage the free end of one of the other walls. A contoured slot in a part of the wall causes the locking bar to assume proper locking and unlocking positions.

    摘要： A process and apparatus for cutting elongated material into shorter, predetermined lengths which is an improvement upon the same shown, described and claimed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,485,120, issued Dec. 23, 1969. The present process includes the steps of determining the existence of more than a predetermined cutting pressure exerted on the material in order to ascertain if the machine is operating properly and, additionally, to use such increase in pressure to stop the cutting operation as when the cutting blades become dull, when knots pass through the apparatus, or upon improper installation of a cutter, and so forth. The apparatus includes means to exert a cutting pressure against the material and means quickly to move said pressure means into and out of operative position when desired.
