    摘要: A hydraulic compactor configured to be fastened to the cover structure of an underground collection container, for compacting waste materials. The hydraulic compactor includes a filling opening equipped with a hatch, via which the waste material may be entered into a compressing space inside the compactor, a press member being provided above the compressing space and being movable in the vertical direction inside the compactor. The press member presses the waste material fed into the compressing space against the bottom plate of the compactor. The bottom plate of the compactor is a hydraulic bottom plate opening in the horizontal direction, via which the waste material compressed in the compressing space is dropped into the underground collection container. The present disclosure also relates to an underground collection container comprising a compactor.

A receptacle first sends a signal from a transmitter on a first module in a receptacle to a receiver on a second module in the receptacle, wherein the first module is located on a first inner wall of the receptacle and the second module is located on a second inner wall of the receptacle, and wherein at least part of the first module and the second module is located a distance above a bin inside the receptacle. Next, the receptacle determines a signal-detection characteristic including a signal detection status or a number of signal pulses associated with a signal detection. Based on the signal-detection characteristic, the receptacle determines an operating condition of the receptacle, the operating condition including a fullness level or an obstruction level associated with the first or second sensors.

    摘要: A system for compressing and containing a bale of compressible material includes a bale box and opposing compression plates, one or both of the compression plates moving toward the other of the compression plates in a compression direction. The bale box includes stationary side walls that define a bale box perimeter around the compression plates. At least two of the stationary side walls have ribs formed therein extending inwardly of the bale box. The ribs extend along the at least two side walls in a direction parallel to the compression direction. The ribs form grooves in a compressed bale in about 50 percent to 70 percent of a surface of the compressed bale in which he grooves are formed.

    摘要: A waste compactor to compact waste for disposal in a waste container includes a compaction chamber for receiving waste to be compacted and a closure assembly configured to seal a first opening during a compaction mode. There is a ram assembly in the compaction chamber and an actuator to move the ram assembly from a retracted position toward an extended position which compacts the waste against the closure assembly. There is a plurality of apertures in an internal surface of the compaction chamber where liquid and residual solid waste exit through the apertures during the compaction mode. There is a collection system to collect liquid and residual solid waste, which includes a filter unit. The filter unit has a first end and a second end, the second end includes an opening in communication with the compaction chamber. And, there is an evaporation system to evaporate the liquid.

    摘要: A method of forming a higher density bale of waste paper from two or more lower density bales of waste paper includes positioning the lower density bales intact and in side-by-side relationship with respect to each other, moving them to a compression zone, and compressing the bales together in the compression zone to form a higher density bale. The higher density bale can then be strapped to maintain its higher density configuration and shape. Thus, a larger tonnage of waste paper in bales can be loaded into a shipping container for transport. A rebaler for carrying out the method includes side feed and side retrieval of bales, significantly improving over traditional top feed machines.

    摘要: A compactor system for use on board marine vessels and offshore installation. The compactor has a cart with bottom and side members capable of withstanding a compaction force. The upper rim of the cart has a lip. The system has a compaction unit formed of a movable upper frame with a shoulder and a lower fixed frame. During waste compaction, the moveable upper frame moves in an upward direction to a point where the shoulder engages the cart's lip to establish a force-distribution loop among the upper frame and the side and bottom members of the cart. The cart's wheels are not subjected to the compaction force.
