    摘要: A nickel-based superalloy known by the designation "718" and having a typical composition comprising, in percentages by weight, Cr 19, Fe 18, Nb 5, and the remainder Ni, is subjected, after the usual thermo-mechanical and heat treatment steps, to an additional annealing step wherein the temperature and duration are selected from the following range as desired:800.degree. C. for between 5 and 30 hours;750.degree. C. for between 25 and 70 hours; and700.degree. C. for between 100 and 300 hours.This leads to a definite improvement in the behaviour of parts made from the superalloy, in terms of fatigue cracking, when used at temperatures over 650.degree. C.

    摘要: A method for removing a portion of a coating disposed on a plate, in which a nozzle having a wide jet is first utilized to remove most of the material of the portion to be removed. Successively or concurrently therewith, at least one fine jet nozzle is utilized to cut the contour of the portion of the coating being removed. The method is particularly advantageous for removing deposits of a plasma deposition, and more particularly for deposits which resist a diffusion welding or soldering of plates or substrates with one another.

    摘要: A flow mixer and flame stabilizer structure for an afterburner of a turbofan engine is disclosed having a variable mixer to mix a portion of the cold flow with the hot flow gasses and which also forms a flame stabilizer for a secondary afterburner fuel injection manifold which injects fuel into the cold flow air during afterburner operation. The device forms a flame stabilizer around the secondary, annular fuel injection manifold and has a generally "U" shaped cross-section. One of the legs forming the "U" shape is fixed, while the opposite leg is movable so as to vary the downstream facing opening between the legs. The movable leg also blocks a portion of the cold flow duct to generate localized increases in pressure upstream of the stabilizer. An air scoop located in this upstream portion communicates with the primary afterburner flame stabilizer to direct pressurized air to cool the primary flame stabilizer.

    摘要: In a turbojet fuel supply system in which a controlled flow of fuel ql is diverted from between the high pressure pump and the feed flow regulator and recycled upstream of the high pressure pump in order to maintain a substantially constant pressure differential cross the feed regulator, a flow qc is tapped from the hot flow ql for return to the fuel tank and to allow a correspondingly greater portion of cold fuel from the low pressure pump to be mixed with the recycled hot fuel ql delivered to the high pressure pump. If necessary, the tapped hot flow qc is mixed with a flow of cold fuel qf tapped from the low pressure pump output to form a lukewarm mixture qr for return to the tank.

    摘要: A nose cowl or spinner is provided for a fixed, non-rotatable central hub of a turbojet engine having assembly means that facilitate the attachment and detachment of the nose cowl to the central hub, and provides a readily visible indication of whether or not the nose cowl has been properly assembled to the hub. The nose cowl has a smooth outer surface to provide undisturbed air flow into the turbojet engine compressor and defines means to circulate heated air to prevent icing of the external surface. An inner cowl member is attached to a bearing cover of the central hub in a non-rotatable manner, an outer cowl member is axially locked to the central hub so as to be concentrally arranged about the inner cowl member, and a locking device is used to lock the inner and outer cowl members together to prevent inadvertent rotation of the outer cowl member.
