Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for mitigating interference between spectrally distinct wireless communication networks employing co-located, collaborating radios. A first base station is in a first network and communicates with a first radio within a first frequency range, and a second base station is in a second network and communicates with a second radio in a second frequency range. The first and second radios are geographically co-located, for example, within a public safety vehicle. The first radio determines a maximum level of interference it will accept based on current operational parameters, and communicates a corresponding threshold value to the second radio through a data link. The second radio sends a request to its base station to employ interim scheduling constraints governing uplink transmissions from the second radio, to thereby limit out of band emissions received by the first radio to a range that is less than the threshold interference level.

Abstract: A handheld device in an audio and video system including a system for receiving and processing video and/or audio signals, a system for displaying a virtual image to a user, and a system for producing sounds audible to a user. The handheld device also incorporates a shroud to block ambient light when the handheld unit is engaged with the user's face. As a result, the user may hear sounds produced from the received audio signals. Further the user may see the virtual images produced from the received video signals when the handheld device is engaged with the users face.

Abstract: An antenna tower is provided having one or more antennae at the removed end thereof, which tower is configured for ease of maintenance of the antenna by a serviceman standing on the ground and servicing the antenna. Applicants' antenna tower includes a fixed vertical base or mast tube, fixed to the ground and having a removed end. At or near the removed end of the base tube, a swing tube is pivotally attached. The swing tube has a first end removably coupled to a near end of the base tube, and a removed end extending beyond the removed end of the base tube. Attached to the removed end of the swing tube is a pivotally mounted configured member or pivot tube. The pivotally mounted elongated member receives an antenna thereupon. The pivot tube is removably coupled to the swing tube to allow the pivot tube to rotate.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an approach for determining starting values of attributes for a requested virtual machine. Specifically, in a typical embodiment, a request for a virtual machine is received from a requester. An image corresponding to the virtual machine is then obtained. A set of statistics pertaining to at least one previous operation of a related virtual machine is analyzed and used to recommend starting values for a set of attributes of the virtual machine (e.g., a processor speed, a memory capacity, a disk capacity, a network capacity, etc.). The starting values can be determined by selecting a graphical curve, which depicts attribute values versus time, pertaining to a particular attribute and then providing recommended the starting values for the attribute based on a position along the graphical curve as determined based upon the analysis of the set of statistics. Thereafter, an instance of the virtual machine that has the starting values can be generated based on the image.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for identifying utility theft include a property management system operable to receive tenant data associated with a property. A service provider in communication with the property management system receives the tenant data from the property management system via a network such as the Internet, where the tenant data identifies a tenant responsible for payment of a utility service associated with a utility service account. The service provider, which may be a utility, compares the tenant data to utility data to determine if the tenant corresponds to a utility service account. A notification module provides one or more alerts identifying when the tenant fails to correspond to the utility service account.
