Abstract:
A vacuum cleaning head includes a pressure chamber having a first chamber section and a second chamber section which is moveable relative to the first chamber section in response to a pressure differential thereacross from a first position to a second position, and a control mechanism located within the pressure chamber. The control mechanism has a first state for inhibiting the movement of the second chamber section in response to said pressure differential beyond a third position intermediate the first and second positions, and a second state for allowing the second chamber section to move in response to said pressure differential to the second position. The control mechanism is arranged to change between the first and second states in response to a movement of the second chamber section from the third position. This can allow the pressure chamber to toggle between different configurations through varying the pressure differential across the second chamber section, for example to raise or lower part of the cleaner head, or to selectively activate or deactivate an agitator.
Abstract:
An applicator for a feminine hygiene device. The applicator includes an insertion member that can have an outer surface, an insertion end, a withdrawal end opposite the insertion end, a barrel region adapted to house the feminine hygiene device, and a grip region disposed proximate the withdrawal end. In certain embodiments, the grip region can include one or more three-dimensional surface elements protruding from the grip region. In addition, the barrel region can include one or more two-dimensional surface elements.
Abstract:
An applicator having a color gradient. The applicator includes an outer member having a first end, a second end disposed opposite the first end, a longitudinal axis, a length measured along the longitudinal axis, and an exterior surface. The outer member further includes a color gradient extending along at least a portion of the length from a first region to a second region, the color gradient being visible by a user viewing the exterior surface of the outer member.
Abstract:
In a method and magnetic resonance apparatus to reduce distortions in magnetic resonance diffusion imaging, a magnetic resonance data acquisition system is operated to acquire magnetic resonance data in a first measurement with a first diffusion weighting, and to acquire magnetic resonance data in a second measurement with a second, different diffusion weighting. A non-linear, system-specific distortion-correcting function is determined on the basis of system-specific information that is specific to said magnetic resonance data acquisition system. Correction parameters are calculated to correct distortions in subsequently-acquired diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance images, based on the data acquired in the first and second measurements with the system-specific distortion-correcting function applied thereto. The subsequently-acquired diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance images are corrected using the correction parameters to at least reduce distortions therein.
Abstract:
This invention is an anti chafing device, called the Line Sleeve for use around boat lines. The invention is made of wool attached to a sheepskin backing. The invention uses hook and loop fasteners to secure the invention to the boat line. When attached to the line the invention acts as buffer between the line and the surface area of the boat. The line can no longer come in direct contact with the boat. Thus stopping any abrasions and chafeing that can damage the surface area of the boat.
Abstract:
The invention provides a compound of Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as described herein; pharmaceutical compositions thereof; and the use thereof in treating diseases, conditions or disorders modulated by the inhibition of an acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme(s) in an animal.
Abstract:
An apparatus and associated method for enclosing an environment-sensitive component. An enclosure separates an interior environment inside the enclosure from an external environment outside the enclosure. The enclosure has an environmental control system that captures a contaminant from the internal environment to a filter via a first diffusion path, and captures the contaminant from the external environment to the same filter via a different second diffusion path, the diffusion paths providing substantially different flow resistances to fluids carrying the contaminants to the filter via the respective diffusion paths.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a compound of the formula: Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; pharmaceutical compositions comprising an effective amount of a compound of Formula (I) in combination with a suitable carrier, diluent, or excipient; and methods for treating physiological disorders, particularly frailty, osteoporosis, osteopenia, and male and female sexual dysfunction comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a compound of formula (I).
Abstract:
A lens and a method of making lenses suitable for color blindness correction are disclosed. The corrective lens may be formed of an optically transparent base material, which is tinted to the desired color for correction by immersion in a colorant dye. The color tinted lens is then tinted by a neutral tint dye to render the lens observable as a regular corrective lens. If desired, the dyes may be heated during immersion.
