Abstract: A fluid manifold is capable of channeling and monitoring fluid flow within a fluid distribution system. The manifold includes one or more input lumens. Each input lumen associated with a respective inlet port. The manifold also includes a plurality of output lumens such that each output lumen is associated with a respective outlet port and at least one input lumen is coupled to two or more output lumens. The manifold also includes one or more flow sensors capable of measuring fluid flow parameters of fluid flowing through at least one of the one or more input lumens and the plurality of output lumens. In some implementations, a flow sensor can be mounted to each output lumen of the manifold.

Abstract: A joint restraint is provided for a curved pipe joint having a curved pipe section joining two adjacent pipe sections. The pipes are joined using tubular sleeves held by hose clamps to form fluid tight seals, with two clamps on each end of the curved pipe sections and two clamps on each proximal end of the adjacent pipe sections. An inner strap extends between and fastens to one of the clamps on each adjacent pipe section forming a chord of an arc. An outer strap extends along an outer periphery of the joined pipes and fastens to the other clamps on each adjacent pipe section. The straps are in a plane through a center of the flow path of the joined pipes.

Abstract: An ultrasonic fluid flow meter can include a casing structure including a hook portion configured to engage a conduit to secure the casing structure to the conduit. The ultrasonic fluid flow meter can include a transducer block disposed within the casing structure and seating ultrasonic transducers. A distance between the hook portion and the transducer block along a direction transverse to the transducer block can be adjustable. The ultrasonic transducers can face the conduit when the casing structure is secured to the conduit via the hook portion.

Abstract: A pipeline pressure testing assembly has a fitting defining a flow path and having a port on a wall of the fitting into which a pressure testing device is removably inserted along a central axis of the port for pressure testing. The port is circular, larger than the interior diameter of the pipeline and located at or above the tube forming the flow path through the fitting. The fitting has a recess encircling at least part of the flow path and opening to the port to receive the testing and sealing devices. The recess is formed by two opposing walls inclined relative to the central axis of the recess. The recess walls at the top of the flow path by the port are spaced apart a distance as large as the pipe diameter for cleanout and inspection. A tubular valve stem screws into the testing device and has a rotary valve blocking flow through the tubular valve stem. Flow through the fitting is blocked with the rotary valve closed and the tubular valve stem in a first position. Flow through the testing device is allowed with the rotary valve closed and the tubular valve stem in an open position. With the rotary valve open, flow through the tubular valve stem is permitted when the tubular valve stem is in either the first or second position to provide multiple drain and fill options.

Abstract: A hand portable water purification system including: a cold plasma ozone generator having two spaced apart parallel electrodes for generating ozone; a Venturi injector providing partially ozonated contaminated water; a first and a second reactor tank, each tank in fluid communication with the Venturi injector and the cold plasma generator, wherein the first reactor tank fills with partially ozonated contaminated water provided by the injector, and while being filled, is further ozonated until purified water is obtained and concurrently previously purified water is emptied from the second reactor tank; a low wattage power source for providing power to the system; and a microprocessor/controller for controlling in real time the amount of ozone produced by the generator and for controlling a series of valves. The valves are opened and closed according to a predefined sequence. A method for use of the portable water purification system is also provided herein.

Abstract: An assembly creates annular voids in concrete around the distal end of cylindrical tubes. A cap has a flat top and a cylindrical, depending skirt. An annular, foam plug extends between the inside of the skirt and the outer diameter of the tube. The plug has an undeformed inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the tube to create an interference fit around the tube and keep concrete out when the cap is on the end of the tube. The plug has a radial thickness of 0.3 to 1 inch, and has an axial length of 1 to 3 inches, with a bottom of the plug located at a bottom of the skirt. The cap is glued to the end of the tube for pressure testing. After the tube is entrained in concrete, the cap and plug are removed to leave a void in the concrete surface.
