Abstract: A mobile network operator (MNO) base station, e.g., an eNB, instructs a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) user equipment (UE) to monitor to detect signals from base stations in its MVNO network and to report back the results. If the UE reports to the MNO base station, that it has detected signals from base stations, e.g. CBSDs, in its MVNO, the MNO base station applies one or more rules included in a stored Service Profile Identifier, corresponding to the UE, the applying of the one or more rules causes the MNO base station to disconnect or deny service to the UE. Alternatively, when it is determined that the UE did not detect a signal from a base station, e.g. a CBSD, in its MVNO, then the MNO base station provides communications service to the UE.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for operation of a dual-connectivity enabled premises device in a wireless communication network. In one embodiment, the methods and apparatus utilize so-called “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with a cellular wireless communication network (e.g. having 4G/4.5G LTE and 5G NR base stations) for the provision of services to a number of installed enhanced fixed wireless apparatus (FWAe) at user or subscriber premises. The FWAe has dual-connectivity functionality, and can connect to two different access technologies simultaneously. The FWAe (and base stations) also support a “split” mode of operation wherein each air interface is selectively used for only certain types of traffic (e.g., UL or DL only).

Abstract: Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms and apparatus for managing service provider network nodes in a converged network by inserting mobile network UE information into WiFi network communications such that a WiFi control entity may, in response to determining that the UE-inserted information is indicative of a jamming condition at a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Devices (CBSDs) providing mobile network services to the UE, communicate the identification of such UE to various provider equipment such that CBSDs experiencing jamming signals may be identified and mitigation steps taken.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing data rates in a small-cell wireless communication network. In one embodiment, the methods and apparatus utilize “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with 3GPP wireless communication network (e.g. 4G LTE or 5GNR) for the delivery of services to a number of enhanced fixed wireless apparatus (CPEe/FWAe) at user or subscriber premises. The various CPEe/FWAe report Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) data to their respective serving base stations, and each base station maps the CQI value to a prescribed configuration (e.g., to the Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS)) adaptively for the transmission of the data to the CPEe/FWAe. In one implementation, the base stations update the CQI to MCS values adaptively according to ACK/NACK requests received from the CPEe/FWAe.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing packet scheduler fairness in a small-cell wireless communication network. In one embodiment, the methods and apparatus utilize “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with 3GPP wireless communication network (e.g. 4G LTE or 5GNR) for the delivery of services to a number of enhanced CPE (consumer premises equipment), such as fixed wireless apparatus (FWAe). The various FWAe report Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) data to their respective serving base stations over time, and each base station both builds a statistical characterization of each FWAe, and maps the CQI data to a prescribed configuration (e.g., to the Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS)) adaptively for the transmission of the data to the FWAe, and development of a scheduler priority for each FWAe. In one implementation, once the CQI values are stable for a given FWAe, CQI reporting is terminated for a period of time.

Abstract: A first citizens broadband radio service device (CBSD), which is part of a first cluster of CBSDs, determines total needed spectrum for the first cluster, based on a determination of its own spectrum needs and received information from other CBSDs in the cluster communicating their determined spectrum needs. The first CBSD communications the total spectrum needs for the first cluster to a spectrum access system (SAS). The first CSBD receives a spectrum allocation for the first cluster from the SAS, which allocates spectrum on a per cluster basis. The first CSBD selects a first portion of spectrum for itself from the received allocation and communicates the SAS first cluster spectrum allocation and the first CSBD selected first portion of spectrum to a second CBSD in the cluster. The second CBSD determines the remaining spectrum of the SAS allocation and selects a second portion of spectrum from remaining spectrum for itself.

Abstract: A first subscriber identification module (SIM) of a dual SIM device is connected to a network. A small cell is informed that the dual SIM device is a dual SIM-type device and a first radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. A second radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. The small cell is configured to treat a second SIM as a control SIM and to treat the first SIM a data SIM. User data is transferred to the first radio frequency device, a control channel switch command is sent to the dual SIM device, and control information is transferred to the second radio frequency device.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for allocating frequency spectrum resources in a Citizens Broadband Radio Service network. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of: receiving, by a Spectrum Access System (SAS), a channel message from a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Device (CBSD); selecting, by the SAS, in response to the received channel allocation message, a first frequency spectrum channel from a plurality of available frequency spectrum channels based on a type of traffic the CBSD is carrying; assigning, by the SAS, the selected first frequency spectrum channel to the CBSD for use in wireless communications with user equipment devices; communicating, by the SAS, information identifying the assigned first frequency spectrum channel to the CBSD. When the determined type of traffic being carried by the CBSD is said uplink dominated traffic basing said first frequency spectrum channel selection on adjacent channel interference.
