Abstract: A wireless system as discussed herein includes a communication management resource configured to control flows of data through a first wireless access point to a remote network. To control the flows of data, the communication management resource receives a schedule indicating a pattern of multiple mobile communication devices associated with a subscriber domain. The schedule may indicate a respective pattern associated with the multiple mobile communication devices. For example, the respective pattern may indicate times when the multiple mobile communication devices are present in the subscriber domain and/or times when the communication devices communicate through the first wireless access point to one or more destination in a remote network. The communication management resource utilizes the schedule to control priority of conveying communications from the multiple mobile communication devices through the first wireless access point to the remote network.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for implementing dual backhaul connection paths for wireless base stations to avoid and/or minimize service interruptions. An exemplary method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: establishing, by a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Device (CBSD), a primary backhaul connection path for exchanging messages with a core network, a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) Domain Proxy and a test server; establishing, by the CBSD, a secondary backhaul connection path for exchanging messages with the core network, the CBRS Domain Proxy and the test server; and determining, by the CBSD, whether to utilize the primary backhaul connection path or the secondary backhaul connection path for communicating with the core network and the CBRS Domain Proxy based on communications with the test server.

Abstract: Information indicative of instructions to measure an area of coverage provided by a signal repeater device can be received. Instructions to broadcast a repeater-specific broadcast signal for each sub-area of a plurality of sub-areas of a service area of the signal repeater device can be sent to the signal repeater device. A corresponding signal measurement of a plurality of signal measurements can be received for each sub-area of the plurality of sub-areas. A coverage map descriptive of the area of coverage provided by the signal repeater device can be generated based at least in part on the plurality of signal measurements.

Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring, reporting, and managing operational status and configuration of a smart amplifier which includes a radio frequency amplifier unit and transponder. A smart amplifier includes a radio frequency (RF) amplifier unit, a transponder including a transponder component integrated with a telemetry agent, and a controller. The RF amplifier unit configured to process a signal received via a cable access network. The transponder is configured to collect telemetry data from the received signal and stream the collected telemetry data to a service processing platform. The controller configured to remotely configure the RF amplifier unit based on information received from the service provider processing platform, the information based on the streamed telemetry data.

Abstract: A computing system accesses actual aggregate service group utilization values that correspond to ones of a plurality of intervals over a first period of time and that identify an aggregate service group bandwidth utilization by cable modems in a service group at a plurality of intervals, the first period of time including multiple second periods of time having a same time duration, each second period of time having I ordinal intervals, and estimated aggregate service group utilization values that correspond to the actual aggregate service group utilization values. The computing system determines an additional bandwidth quantity for the service group such that an aggregate probability over a predetermined period of time that the plurality of cable modems will exceed a current provisioned bandwidth of the service group and the additional bandwidth quantity is within a desired probability range. A computing system sends, to a destination, the additional bandwidth quantity.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing enhanced coverage in a quasi-licensed wireless system using a reduced-cost base station apparatus. In one embodiment, the base station is configured to utilize quasi-licensed 3.55-3.70 GHz CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) GAA and PAL spectrum, and employs a power amplifier sharing arrangement in its transmitter chain(s), along with multi-sector antenna elements. A scheduling algorithm operative on the base station generates sector-specific weights which are used to allocate the shared power amplifier(s) between the different sectors. Advantageously, design and production costs of the base station are reduced through sharing of comparatively expensive amplifier and transmitter chain components, thereby allowing for commoditization of the base station for mass distribution.

Abstract: A network vulnerability scanning system scans a target device for vulnerabilities to obtain initial network connection data for the target device via a first network interface of the target device, the initial network connection data identifying an initial network connection between the target device and a first hidden network system. The network vulnerability scanning system installs a network scanning application on the target device subsequent to scanning the target device for vulnerabilities to obtain the initial network connection data. The network vulnerability system scans the first hidden network system for vulnerabilities via the network scanning application. Subsequent to scanning the first hidden network system for vulnerabilities, the network vulnerability scanning system obtains additional network connection data for the target device via the first network interface of the target device, the additional network connection data identifying an additional network connection between the target device and a second hidden network system.

Abstract: According to one configuration, multiple users in a tiered hierarchy share use of a wireless spectrum. For example, a spectrum access system receives a notification indicating that a first-priority tier 1 user in the hierarchy temporarily needs access to a first wireless spectrum assigned to a second-priority tier 2 user in the hierarchy. In response to the notification, the spectrum access system temporarily allocates the second-priority tier 2 user use of a second wireless spectrum. The spectrum access system protects use of the second wireless spectrum by the second-priority tier 2 user from a third-priority tier 3 user in the hierarchy. In certain instances, the one or more spectrum access systems receive the same notification of use of the first wireless spectrum by the first-priority tier 1 user. The multiple spectrum access systems not serving the second-priority tier 2 user protect the Tier 2 User from any Tier 3 Users in the hierarchy.
