    Abstract: Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms and apparatus for managing service provider network nodes in a converged network by identifying indicia of a reduced Quality of Service (QoS) level of network services provided to user equipment (UE) via a WiFi access point (WAP) such that a WiFi control entity may responsively communicate the identification of affected UE to various provider equipment such that the UE may be migrated to a proximate service provider mobile network node.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for managing uplink resource grants in wireless networks. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of: communicating resource grants to individual customer premise equipment (CPE) devices, the resource grants including at least a first resource grant to a first CPE device and a second resource grant to a second CPE device, the first resource grant giving the first CPE device the right to use a first set of resource blocks on a recurring basis, said second resource grant giving the second CPE device the right to use a second set of resource blocks on a recurring basis; monitoring the use of resource blocks granted to the first and second CPE devices during a first period of time; using stored resource utilization information to determine resource grants which are to be shared by the first and second CPE device.

    Abstract: Dynamic data rate selection in wireless networks is described. The includes sending, by a wireless controller to a base station, an access point power-data rate table. The base station updates a base station power-data rate table with the access point power-data rate table based on checking defined thresholds, confirms the validity of the updated base station power-data rate table by receiving measurements from a user device responsive to communications using the updated base station power-data rate table, reverts to a previous base station power-data rate table if the measurements indicate that the updated base station power-data rate table is not correct, and sends to the wireless controller one of the updated base station power-data rate table or the previous base station power-data rate table. The wireless controller updates the access point power-data rate table and sends the updated access point power-data rate table to an access point.

    Abstract: A first subscriber identification module (SIM) of a dual SIM device is connected to a network. A small cell is informed that the dual SIM device is a dual SIM-type device and a first radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. A second radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. The small cell is configured to treat a second SIM as a control SIM and to treat the first SIM a data SIM. User data is transferred to the first radio frequency device, a control channel switch command is sent to the dual SIM device, and control information is transferred to the second radio frequency device.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for managing spectrum in a CBRS network to provide services to user equipment devices located at a customer's premises. In various embodiments, the customer premises has no landline connection.     Abstract: Methods and apparatus for prioritizing data traffic in small-cell wireless system. In one embodiment, the system utilizes “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with a wireless communication network (e.g., 3GPP 4G-LTE or 5G-NR-based). A “traffic profile” message is used to prioritize the data traffic. In one variant, the traffic profile message is generated by a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) such as a CBRS FWA, and includes data related to CPE identification, default bearer identification, number of client devices served by the CPE (e.g., via a wireless router connected to the CPE), traffic type and/or priority level associated with each client device and/or data traffic type, etc. In another variant, the base station provides data services to a plurality of fixed wireless access (FWA) apparatus installed at user or subscriber premises of a network based on prioritization according to the present disclosure.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing performance of a wireline communication network backhaul for wireless nodes based on data traffic and node characterization.     Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing communication and performance for a device backhauled by a wireline communication network. In one embodiment, the device comprises a small-cell or other wireless base station that is backhauled by a DOCSIS system within a managed HFC network, and the method and apparatus enable enhanced communication between the small cell/base station and the backhaul network so as to support “rate matching” between the device to mitigate packet overflow or other issues. In one implementation, enhanced cable modem (CM) and base station devices coordinate to inform the base station of the modulation order (and/or other parameters related to transmission of the data destined for the base station on the backhaul) so that the base station can selectively invoke utilization of higher-order modulation and/or coding schemes, as well as spatial multiplexing or beamforming.
