The gas sampling apparatus includes: an air supplying unit that forms an air curtain to form a space that covers a region to which an object to be monitored is included and which is separated from the outside environment; a sampling unit that extracts the gas inside the separated space; and a diffusion gas supplying unit that supplies, into the separated space, an amount of diffusion gas that is at least equal to the sampled amount of the sampling unit, wherein the sampling unit includes a plurality of sampling nozzles disposed at three-dimensionally different positions inside the separated space.

This makes it possible to realize a display device, which is capable of displaying different images to a plurality of different viewpoints and has an improved function of separating the images in the different display directions.

There are extracted two rectangular aperture patterns which are adjacent each other in an obliquely disposed state with respect to an X axis in an XY plane. The thus-extracted two rectangular aperture patterns are rotated at a certain angle so that a pattern edge corresponding to one side of one of the rectangular aperture patterns and a pattern edge corresponding to one side of the other rectangular aperture pattern are opposed in parallel to each other. The plurality of barriers are provided so as to face the image forming layer. The plurality of barriers (16) are extended in a horizontal direction (lateral direction) parallel to the surfaces of the transparent substrates, and provided at substantially regular intervals in a direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction, parallel to the surfaces of the transparent substrates (i.e., in a longitudinal direction). This makes it possible to provide an ATM that prevents a peep at private information such as a secret number without giving, whichever direction a display is viewed, a false recognition that the display is in a resting state.

The second mask pattern 28B has a main light transferring pattern 26c1, a plurality of auxiliary light transferring patterns 26c2 disposed thereabout, and a phase shifter S disposed in the main light transferring pattern 26c1. The auxiliary light transferring patterns 26c2 are disposed such that respective distances from a center of each thereof to a center of the main light transferring pattern 26c1 are substantially equal.
