摘要: Methods and systems for operation in a WLAN are provided. Methods and systems for a transmit power control (TPC) scheme are disclosed. In an embodiment, an access point (AP) may send a trigger frame to one or more stations (STAs) for synchronizing and scheduling uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmissions. The trigger frame may contain an open-loop power control index 1 and a power adjustment index 2. The one or more STAs may estimate pathloss using an indicated AP transmit power and received power to set a baseline transmit power. The one or more STAs may adjust their transmit power in the UL transmission period to be the indicated target receive power at the AP.

摘要: Device, systems, and/or techniques for using sub-channel signaling information between an access point and a first station are disclosed. An uplink trigger sent from the access point to the first station may be received. A map may be transmitted from the first station indicating at least one sub-channel that is available for spatial sharing by a second station. The first station may receive an acknowledgement from the access point that data was transmitted from the second station on the at least one sub-channel and/or received by the at least one access point. An OFDMA transmission having a sub-channel/sub-band available for transmitting data may be determined. An energy in the sub-channel/sub-band may be measured and/or compared to a dynamic and/or static threshold. Whether a sub-channel/sub-band is free or busy may be determined for example based on if the measured energy is, or is not, greater than the threshold.

摘要: Methods and an apparatus are disclosed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and/or single carrier (SC) based multiple input multiple output (MIMO) hybrid beamforming (HBF) including determining the capabilities of a station (STA) such as the capability for hybrid beamforming, single user MIMO (SU-MIMO), and multi user MIMO (MU-MIMO). An announcement frame with a control trailer may be transmitted to signal a transmission configuration. The announcement frame may be a grant frame or a request to send (RTS) frame if the STA is SU-MIMO capable or a RTS frame or a DMG clear to send (CTS)-self frame if the STA is MU-MIMO capable. One or more directional multi-gigabit (DMG) antennas may be configured based on the announcement frame. One or more sounding symbols may be transmitted and feedback may be provided based on the sounding symbols. An HBF signal may be transmitted based on the sounding symbol(s) and/or feedback.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and system for beamforming training using a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU). A WTRU may receive an indication of a number of space time slots (STSs) from an access point (AP) within a beacon frame during a beamforming training allocation. The WTRU may send a response signal to the AP in a specific STS based on a function of the number of STSs. The WTRU may receive an acknowledgement (ACK) from the AP confirming the response was received. Alternatively, the AP may send a signal indicating that a collision occurred and alter the number of STSs, and the WTRU may try again in the next beamforming training allocation.

摘要: Mechanisms may be used for multi-channel (MC) setup and access and waveform designs for millimeter wave (mmW) systems. An access point (AP) that is part of a basic service set (BSS) may provide multi-channel (MC) access to one or more stations (STAs) in the BSS. The AP may monitor for beacon frames transmitted by other access point/personal basic service set (PBSS) control point (AP/PCP) associated with overlapping basic service sets (OBSSs). The monitored beacon frames may include service period (SP) scheduling information for the OBSS. The AP may generate an allocations at least one SPs and/or contention based access periods (CBAPs) channels to be used in a beacon interval in consideration of the SP scheduling information for the OBSS. The AP may transmit a beacon frame STA(s) indicating the SP/CBAP allocations. Other mechanisms may include simultaneous transmission of multiple single carrier (SC) waveforms with non-overlapping waveforms to multiple STAs.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are described. A station includes a transceiver and a processor, which detect a trigger frame for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission. The trigger frame includes a user information field with an allocation of one or more random access resource units (RUs) and a common information field with information to set high efficiency (HE) SIGNAL-A (HE-SIG-A) fields in the UL MU transmission. The transceiver and the processor generate an HE trigger-based (TB) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) and set an HE-SIG-A field in the HE TB PPDU using the information in the trigger frame. The transceiver and the processor select one of the one or more random access RUs and transmit the HE TB PPDU, using the selected one of the one or more random access RUs, a short inter-frame space after the trigger frame.

Multi-channel beamforming may include, for example, one analog beam across two channels and analog circuits on each channel or a single analog circuit on both channels, one analog beam across two channels and separate digital precoding schemes on each channel, one analog beam across a primary channel and separate digital precoding schemes on each channel or two analog beams on two channels and separate digital precoding on each channel. Preamble signaling may be provided.
