Abstract: A method of processing data in a receiving apparatus is discussed. The method includes receiving a broadcast signal including low level signaling data; parsing the low level signaling data included in the broadcast signal; obtaining the bootstrap information from the parsed low level signaling data; and discovering the service layer signaling information based on the obtained bootstrap information included in the parsed low level signaling data.

Abstract: An apparatus for receiving a broadcast signal includes a tuner configured to receive a broadcast signal; a time deinterleaver configured to time deinterleave a Time Interleaving (TI) block in the broadcast signal, the TI block including one or more Forward Error Correction (FEC) blocks interleaved by a TI scheme, the TI scheme including column-writing one or more FEC blocks in a memory and diagonal-reading the one or more FEC block based on the TI block by skipping one or more virtual FEC blocks that are ahead of the one or more FEC blocks in the TI block; a decoder configured to decode the broadcast signal, the decoded broadcast signal including a signal frame including first symbols including first information for representing whether or not emergency information is included in the signal frame, a second symbol for physical layer parameters following the first symbols, the second symbol including second information for representing whether or not fast channel scan information for the broadcast signal is included in the signal frame, and third symbols, that follows the second symbol, including one or more components included in a content of a service and component information including role information for at least one of an audio component, a video component or a closed caption component of the one or more components, the role information for the video component including at least one of a sign language insert or an alternative view; and a displayer configured to display information related to the content based on the role information of the one or more components of the content in the decoded broadcast signal.

Abstract: A method for providing a broadcast service by a primary device (PD) includes performing a discovery process with a companion device (CD) application executed in a CD, wherein the discovery process includes receiving a device description request from the CD application, transmitting a first response message, receiving, from the CD application, an application information request destined for a first URL and transmitting a second response message, wherein a header of the first response message includes the first URL, and the second response message includes a second URL used as a Websocket endpoint of the PD; establishing a Websocket connection between a Websocket server and the CD application using the second URL; receiving a request message for media timeline information from the CD through the Websocket connection; and delivering a notification message to the CD through the Websocket connection.
