    Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for reporting channel state information of a terminal in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: determining whether a resource for transmitting a reference signal for channel measurement overlaps with a resource for a specific type of transmission; generating channel state information on the basis of the determination result; and transmitting the generated channel state information to a base station.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure provides a priority of CSI reporting in a mobile communication system, and provides a method in which a UE performs CSI reporting with high priority according to the priority. The method includes receiving channel state information (CSI) feedback configuration information from a base station; identifying a CSI reporting to be performed based on the CSI feedback configuration information, as a result of two CSI reportings overlapping; and performing the identified CSI reporting to the base station. The CSI reporting is identified based on types of CSI reportings, and a CSI reporting associated with a reference signal received power (RSRP) is prioritized over a CSI reporting that is not associated with the RSRP.

Particularly, the present invention provides a method for acquiring time and frequency synchronization by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a first synchronization signal from a base station; receiving a second synchronization signal from the base station; and receiving a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) from the base station, and acquiring downlink time and frequency synchronization with the base station on the basis of the CSI-RS.
