Abstract: A method, performed by a terminal, of supporting non-coherent joint transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to notifying a terminal of subcarrier spacing(s) used in a random access procedure. A master information block (MIB) includes information associated with a first subcarrier spacing used for a system information block (SIB) and a random access response. The SIB includes information associated with a second subcarrier spacing used for a physical random access channel (PRACH) on which a random access preamble is transmitted. A terminal transmits the random access preamble to a base station based on the second subcarrier spacing and receives, from the base station, a random access response to the random access preamble based on the first subcarrier spacing.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure provides a priority of CSI reporting in a mobile communication system, and provides a method in which a UE performs CSI reporting with high priority according to the priority. The method includes receiving channel state information (CSI) feedback configuration information from a base station; identifying a CSI reporting to be performed based on the CSI feedback configuration information, as a result of two CSI reportings overlapping; and performing the identified CSI reporting to the base station. The CSI reporting is identified based on types of CSI reportings, and a CSI reporting associated with a reference signal received power (RSRP) is prioritized over a CSI reporting that is not associated with the RSRP.

Particularly, the present invention provides a method for acquiring time and frequency synchronization by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a first synchronization signal from a base station; receiving a second synchronization signal from the base station; and receiving a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) from the base station, and acquiring downlink time and frequency synchronization with the base station on the basis of the CSI-RS.
