    摘要: In a backlight assembly capable of improving display quality and an LCD apparatus having the backlight assembly, the backlight assembly includes a lamp and an insulating member. The lamp includes a lamp tube and an electrode disposed on an end portion of the lamp tube. The insulating member is combined with the end portion of the lamp so as to surround the electrode and to prevent a heat generated from the electrode from being conducted toward the lamp tube. Therefore, a display quality of the LCD apparatus is improved.

    摘要: A receiving unit receives a display panel that displays an image and a lamp that provides the display panel with a light. The receiving unit includes a receiving member, a combining member and a covering member. The receiving member includes a bottom plate and a first sidewall that protrudes from an edge of the bottom plate. The combining member is combined with the receiving member, and the combining member includes a first hole. The covering member includes an upper plate and a second sidewall that protrudes from an edge of the upper plate. The covering member includes a first combining portion that has a second corresponding to the first hole. The receiving unit enhances productivity in assembling process of the LCD module. Further, the combining member prevents a distortion of the receiving unit.

    摘要: In a lamp and method for fabricating the same, an outer surface of the lamp tube is dipped into a conductive transparent solution for forming an electrode by a predetermined depth, and then the lamp tube is pulled out from the solution. Accordingly, an electrode having different profiles is formed on the outer surface of the tube body. Also, the outer surface of the lamp tube is dipped into the solution by an acute angle, and is pulled out from the solution. Therefore, a problem of a nonuniform brightness between lamps is not generated, and light utilization efficiency is much enhanced even when using a plurality of lamp in parallel connected to a power supply.

    摘要: A method of forming a backlight assembly is presented. The invention reduces the degradation of display quality caused by an uneven expansion of the reflective sheet in a display device. The reflective sheet may be positioned between the light guiding plate and the base in a backlight assembly of a display device. The backlight assembly includes a light source, a light guiding plate positioned to guide light from the light source in a predetermined direction, a base on which the light guiding plate is mounted, and a reflective sheet positioned between the light guiding plate and the base. The reflective sheet has a cutout. A supporting structure extends through the cutout between the light guiding plate and the base to support the light guiding plate. A liquid crystal display device made with such backlight assembly is also presented.

    摘要: In a radiant pad, a backlight assembly and a display device, the backlight assembly has a light source, a receiving container and a heat absorbing member. The receiving container receives the light source and the heat absorbing member to absorb radiant heat emitted by the light source. The backlight assembly further includes a discharge member disposed at an exterior surface of the receiving container to discharge heat from the light source transmitted through the receiving container. Accordingly, a temperature of the backlight assembly is lowered and a temperature difference between left and right areas of the backlight assembly is also reduced, thereby improving brightness properties.

    摘要: There are provided a backlight assembly (700) and an LCD device (1000) using the same. The backlight assembly (700) has an optical sheet (100) for improving light efficiency and optical properties thereof and an elastic adhesive member (130) disposed on the optical sheet (100). When the optical sheet (100) deforms with heat, the elastic adhesive member (130) may be expanded or contracted corresponding to deformation of the optical sheet (100) and absorb impact applied to LCD device. Accordingly, the backlight assembly (700) may prevent the optical sheet (100) from being wrinkled or scratched, thereby preventing display quality of the LCD device from being deteriorated.
