    摘要: In an active matrix type display apparatus, during a first selection period, a second main conductive terminal of a drive transistor and a display element are isolated, and at the same time, a control terminal of the drive transistor and the second main conductive terminal and a signal line are connected, and the signal line is supplied with a first current capable of conducting the drive transistor. The first current does not correspond to a signal current corresponding to a current injected to the display element.     摘要: A display apparatus includes a display area, in which pixels each including an EL device and a pixel circuit are arranged in a matrix on a substrate, and a column control circuit for controlling the pixel circuit column by column. The EL device is disposed between a lower pixel electrode and an upper transparent electrode on the substrate. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the pixel circuit, and the transparent electrode is electrically connected to a common interconnecting line via a contact hole. The contact hole and the common interconnecting line are disposed to surround a periphery of the display area. The column control circuit is divided into two circuits disposed between the contact hole and the display area and outside the contact hole with respect to the display area.

When the reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal becomes discontinuous, the discontinuous signal is replaced with the output signal of the delay means until the phase of the output signal comes to coincide with the phase of the reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal. The delay means includes a delay line which delays the horizontal synchronizing signal for one horizontal scanning period and a delay circuit which is arranged to further delay for a short period of time the signal delayed and produced from the delay line.

The drive circuit includes: a first capacitor connected to a gate of a drive transistor; and a second capacitor formed between the first capacitor on a side to which the gate of the drive transistor is not connected, and one end of a light emitting device. The drive circuit corrects an amount of charge of the first capacitor according to a change in potential of the node when the light emitting device starts illumination, and then, causes the light emitting device to illuminate according to the corrected amount of charge.

    摘要: A display apparatus capable of preventing thermal deterioration of an organic EL layer to improve a reliability without increasing a frame area thereof includes a display area, a circuit and wiring area, a pixel circuit common supply line, a contact hole, an external connection terminal, and an adhesion area. In the display area, EL devices and pixel circuits are arranged in a matrix. In the contact hole, a common voltage line and a transparent electrode electrically connected to an output of the EL device are electrically connected to each other. To the external connection terminal, an image signal, a control signal, and electric power are externally supplied. The contact hole and the common voltage line are disposed to surround a peripheral of the display area. To the pixel circuit common supply line, the electric power is supplied from the external connection terminal. In a peripheral portion of the display area where the external connection terminal is disposed, the pixel circuit common supply line is disposed outside the contact hole and the common voltage line with respect to the display area.
