    摘要: A method of transmitting a status report from a receiving terminal to a transmitting terminal is disclosed. A receiving terminal generates a status report according to a first retransmission protocol implemented by a higher layer protocol layer and sends the status report to a transmitting terminal in one or more data units of a lower layer protocol. If the lower layer data units are not successfully received, the lower layer protocol provides a failure indication, referred to as a local NACK, to the higher layer protocol. In response to the failure indication, the higher layer protocol generates an updated status report and sends the updated status report from the receiving terminal to the transmitting terminal.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an improved procedure for synchronization of re-configuration of RRC procedures between the radio base station and the UE. This is achieved by associating a new configuration to be used by a UE with an additional UE identity. The UE is normally identified by a first UE identity, but is informed in a re-configuration message that the UE also has the additional UE identity. The UE is identified by the additional UE identity when the new configuration is to be activated. Hence, when the radio base station detects that the UE responds to requests, which included the additional UE identity, the radio base station can conclude that the UE has activated the new configuration.

According to the method of the present invention, the network units detects a failed transmission of a handover command to the UE, which is still having a uplink channel available, and further receives a RRC message from the UE indicating the loss of a serving cell and indicating the strongest cell. The network unit prepares and initiates a new serving cell re-establishment and sends to the UE a RRC reconfiguration message. The UE can then continue normal operation in the new cell.
