Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an radio resource management and slice control service is provided. The service may calculate and assign priority weights for processing and transmission of packets received via a network slice and quality of service flow. The service may also calculate and assign a service category set of parameters and values for the packets. The service may calculate the priority weights and the service category set of parameters and values based on a network slice identifier and a quality of service flow identifier. The service may priority weights and service category set of parameters and values may be compatible with stand-alone and non-stand-alone configurations. The service may also provide transport priority to the packets and slice-aware migration, as described herein.

The device may perform, based on a result of confirming whether the target device is airborne, an action to identify the target device as an unauthorized airborne device and/or manage the target device.

Abstract: A system described herein may generate a map of ground stations and associated antenna beams along a flight path. Such map generation may include assigning a unique identifier to each antenna beam and associating an absolute or relative location to each beam. As an aircraft traverses the flight path, the map may be utilized to identify candidate serving ground stations and/or candidate antenna beams, whereby a likelihood of selection may be generated for each adjacent beam to a serving beam. The likelihood of selection may be calculated based on one or more predicted flight paths and associated confidence levels of the predicted flight paths. Flight paths may be predicted based on serving beam history, pre-defined flight path, and/or other relevant factors.

Abstract: A method may include determining that a user equipment (UE) device is a dual connectivity device capable of communicating via a Fifth Generation (5G) network and a non-5G network. The method may also include receiving, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request, establishing an RRC connection with the UE device and determining whether the first wireless station is a dual connectivity wireless station. The method may further include initiating, in response to determining that the first wireless station is not a dual connectivity wireless station, a handover of a wireless connection to the UE device from the first wireless station to a second wireless station that is a dual connectivity wireless station, or identifying, in response to determining that the first wireless station is a dual connectivity wireless station, a 5G wireless station in the 5G network to act as a serving cell for the UE device.

Abstract: A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to select a broadcast method for a wakeup signal for a wireless communication device; instruct a base station to broadcast the wakeup signal using the selected broadcast method; and provide information identifying the selected broadcast method to the wireless communication device. The processor may be further configured to receiving a wakeup request from a machine-type communication interworking function (MTC-IWF) device; map the received wakeup request to a wakeup signature beacon signal associated with the wireless communication device; and instruct the base station to transmit a wakeup signature beacon signal to the wireless communication device based on the received wakeup request.
