Abstract:
The present invention is a foam soap dispenser (10) for push operation. The dispenser (10) houses a product bottle (18 and 18′), and the dispenser (10) includes lock-out members (12a and 12b) while the product bottle (18 and 18′) includes mating lock-out members (19a, 19b, and 19′) to ensure that the correct product is used with the dispenser (10). The dispenser (10) includes a push handle (13) that pivots on a pivot point (16) to dispense product when the push handle (13) is compressed. Pushing the push handle (13) moves the handle lever assembly (25 and 25′) components, which in turn activates a product outlet (23) to dispense the product. As the handle (13) is being compressed and released, a gap (22) is created and an anti-pinch member (14) helps prevent pinching of the hand.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a molded detergent composition is provided. The method includes a step of mixing a hydrated component and a hydratable component to provide a mixture, and molding the mixture to provide a molded detergent composition having a melting point greater than about 30° C. The hydrated component has a melting point below about 100° C. and includes a transhydration product of anhydrous material and water of hydration. The hydrated component is provided in a solid state during the step of mixing. The anhydrous material has a melting point greater than about 300° C. The hydratable component includes water, if present at all, at a level of less than about 2 wt. % based on the weight of the hydratable component. A molded detergent composition and a method for using the molded detergent composition are provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to in situ compositions of mono- or diester dicarboxylates, methods employing these in situ compositions, and methods of making these in situ compositions. More particularly, the invention relates to mono- or diester dicarboxylate antimicrobial compositions that can reduce the population of microbes on various surfaces such as facilities, containers, or equipment found in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical processing, or in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries, at temperatures between about −70° C. to about 100° C.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a method and apparatus of cleaning glassware, for example, in a hotel room or a motel room. More particularly, the invention pertains to a method and apparatus for cleaning, rinsing, and sanitizing glassware.
Abstract:
An alkaline cleaner composition comprising an alkyl or alkylaryl ethoxy carboxylate, a strong chelating agent and a source of alkalinity, its manufacture and use in removing greasy soil from hard surface areas is described. The compositions are especially effective in removing lime-soaps in such greasy soil especially on institutional and commercial kitchen floors.
Abstract:
Aqueous bleach solutions can be made by directing a spray of water onto a bulk or shaped solid (brick, tablet, block, etc.) comprising a continuous solid phase of an encapsulated source of an active halogen bleach or a solid comprising a source of an oxidizing active halogen bleach, and an encapsulated oxidizing halogen bleach source. Such shaped solids can be used to dispense an aqueous bleach concentrate to bleaching locus such as a washing machine.
Abstract:
A preferred embodiment dispenser for dispensing product tablets includes a first disk member, a second disk member, and a third disk member. The first disk member is rotatable and includes a first aperture extending longitudinally through the first disk member. The second disk member is stationary and includes a second aperture extending longitudinally through the second disk member. The third disk member is rotatable and includes a third aperture extending longitudinally through the third disk member. The second aperture is intermittently aligned with the first aperture and the third aperture, the first aperture and the third aperture being positioned at different locations with respect to the second aperture thereby aligning with the second aperture at separate times resulting in an interrupted flow path for the product tablets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of low temperature cleaning and applying an antimicrobial treatment to food and beverage plant equipment. In addition, the method includes carbon dioxide compatible chemistry. The method may be achieved through a multi-step method.
Abstract:
Material, composition, and manufacturing method alternatives for a solidification matrix that may be used, for example, in solid cleaning compositions, or other technologies. In at least some embodiments, the solidification matrix includes a binding agent that is formed by the use of MGDA, or a salt or derivative thereof, and water to produce a solid binding agent. In some embodiments, the MGDA and water combines and can solidify to act as a binder material or binding agent dispersed throughout a solid composition that may contain other functional ingredients that provide the desired properties and/or functionality to the solid composition.
Abstract:
A liquid soap, as defined by 21 C.F.R. 701.20, that is contained in a dispensing container having a foam dispenser head. When dispensed, the foam dispenser head combines the soap with air to provide a foam. The soap is free of any additive, such as moisturizer, thickener, or the like, which would remove the soap from the FDA “soap” definition. The soap is dilutable with a solvent, such as water.
