    Abstract: An intrauterine device (IUD) is insertable into a uterus of a mare to suppress estrus and estrus-related behaviors in mares. The IUD may take the form of a weighted ball or sphere that is biocompatible and includes a string attached to the weighted ball for ease of removal by pulling down on the string.

    Abstract: A flameless combustion oven arranges gas and air jets to directly impinge on product, being heated to substantially promote transfer of heat to the product by impingement transfer rather than by conventional radiation and thermally induced convection. In one embodiment, a set of spaced air and gas nozzles are uniformly distributed on a wall of the oven opposite the product to provide substantially uniform impingement over a surface of the product.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for angle measurement. According to one embodiment, the angle of rotation between a first movable portion of the device and a second fixed portion of the device is measured based on the times when a plurality of marks on a third rotating portion of the device are sensed by a plurality of sensors on both the first movable and the second fixed portions of the device. The embodiment utilizes an electronic computation device to analyze the times and provide an accurate measurement of the angle.
