    摘要： An apparatus for use in the movement of furniture wherein the apparatus is placed between such furniture to be moved and a hard surface floor. The apparatus comprises a first material having a first predetermined configuration and a first predetermined thickness. The first material has a top surface and a bottom surface, the bottom surface having a predetermined texture for contacting such hard surface floor. There is a second material having a second predetermined configuration and a second predetermined thickness and having a bottom surface adhered to the top surface of the first material. The second material being a compressible material and having a top surface for contact with a predetermined portion of such furniture to be moved.

A floor protector of a pad of a soft floor protective material is removably mounted in the retaining member having a portion extending downwardly from the retaining member in contact with the floor or the like on which the chair or table is disposed. The pad can be quickly and easily replaced when worn. At least one shim is provided for compensating for the stability of the chair or table legs with respect to the floor on which it sets.

    摘要： A slide to be partially inserted under a floor contact portion of a heavy structure such that the structure can be easily slid a short distance. The slide is formed as a laminar assembly including a flat plate formed of an abrasion resistant lubric plastic material made of polyoxymethylene, homopolymer acetal, and a non-slip pad made of a synthetic plastic material. That portion of the plate not under the floor contact portion tends to bend upwardly so that the heavy structure slides easily over the floor while the pad keeps the heavy structure from sliding off the slide.

    摘要： A glide block for moving loads, notably furniture, comprising a cup containing an elastomer body that includes a housing for a stud provided with a means for fastening it under a piece of furniture. The glide block is characterized in that the stud and its housing are of matching cylindrical shape in general. The stud is made of essentially non-elastic synthetic material and has side projections capable of being accommodated in lateral offsets of the housing in order to constitute detachable means of assembly.

    摘要： The furniture support assembly is generally a furniture leg having a fastening portion at the top thereof for connecting the leg to an article of furniture such as a table or a chair. The fastening structure is a horizontally extending plate having a plurality of holes therein for receiving fasteners. At the foot of the leg is a glide receiving opening in the bottom thereof which is normally hidden from view due to the recess in the foot as well as the angled sides of the foot portion. The location of the glide and the design of the foot portion prevents the glide from detracting from the aesthetic design of the furniture leg.

    摘要： An appliance and furniture floor ski having a pair of pads spaced from one another and connected together by a longitudinal member. Each pad has associated with it a recess forming a socket arranged for receiving one of a pair of appliance and furniture supports, such as coasters. The pads, which may cooperate with the longitudinal member to present a continuous surface, are arranged contacting an article supporting surface, such as a floor, for protecting that surface during displacement of the article. One of the recesses is elongated to permit the ski to receive pairs of article supports of varying spacing, and inserts may be arranged in the recesses for varying the size of the sockets. The pads are advantageously attached to the longitudinal member as by a pin, or pins, arranged in a hole, or holes, provided in the member, so that the length of the member may be sized as desired and a suitable pad added to same.
