    摘要: A multi-curtain assembly includes: first and second curtain segments, each having a leading edge and side edge; an edge fastener having first and second fastener portions proximate the side edge of the first and second curtain segments, respectively, the first fastener portion of the first curtain segment being connectable to the second fastener portion of the second curtain segment to produce a seam as the curtain segments are moved to their closed positions; a motor driving one or more of the barrel assemblies; a synchronizing mechanism synchronizing the barrel assemblies. An overlap fastener, arranged proximate edges of the curtain segments in an overlap region, has aligning portions that align as the side edges are brought into alignment by the edge fastener, to mask at least one side of the fastener seam as the fastener portions are connected to each other.

    摘要: A drapery system that operates by rotating a rod having one, or a pair of left hand twist helical grooves, and one or a pair of right hand twist helical grooves, where the left hand twist and right hand twist helical grooves cross one another in equal spaced alignment across the length of the rotating rod. A plurality of idler rings and at least one driver ring are positioned around the drapery rod. The idler rings have a smooth interior surface whereas the driver rings include at least one tooth that engages a helical groove of the rotating rod. As the rotating rod is rotated, the driver ring is driven across the length of the rotating rod, thereby opening and closing the system. The system also includes a mounting bracket allows for extending the drapery past the inward edge of the inward most ring.

The counterweight unit includes vertically extending left and right side bars provided respectively at left and right edges of the lowermost shielding section, and a horizontally extending bottom bar retained at a bottom edge of the lowermost shielding section, which includes two vertically extending flaps extending respectively from left and right edges of a main shielding part. Each of the flaps is coupled removably to the main shielding part to form a pocket when coupled thereto. The left and right side bars are received respectively and removably in the pockets so as to stretch the lowermost shielding section when received in the pockets and to permit folding of the lowermost shielding section in the vertical direction when removed from the pockets.

    摘要: A retractable cover for architectural openings having collapsible vanes includes a support structure in the form of a sheet of material, monofilaments, tapes, ribbons, cords, or the like, supporting an upper edge of a plurality of vertically spaced, horizontally extending vanes with the lower edges of the vanes in most embodiments of the invention being connected to operating elements adapted to raise the lower edges of each vane toward the upper edges to define openings or gaps between the vanes through which vision and light can pass in an open condition of the covering. Variations of the covering do not require movement of a lower edge of a vane relative to an upper edge but simply movement of some vanes relative to other vanes. The vanes can be made of materials having different flexibilities and where more rigid materials are used, creased fold lines can be established for desired operability.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for laminating flexible magnetic segments onto the plastic substrates, such as during the in-line production of shower curtains and/or curtain liners. The apparatus, which is configured for use with typical shower curtain and/or shower curtain liner producing machines, includes a substantially planar upper work surface for receiving the plastic substrate and at least one applicator unit located adjacent the work surface which automatically laminates a flexible magnetic strip and a plastic cover patch onto the curtain. Three applicator units are preferably utilized, with one such unit substantially aligned with the center of the curtain and the remaining two units being located along the longitudinal edges thereof. In operation, a thin, flexible plastic film is unwound onto an assembly table whereupon it is stopped at a predetermined position. In a first mounting assembly portion of each corresponding applicator unit, a predetermined length of a flexible magnetic ribbon is advanced from a first feed roll and a portion is severed therefrom. This severed portion is thereafter picked up by an applicator arm and transported to a second mounting assembly, where it is deposited upon a web of material utilizes to form the corresponding cover patches. Subsequently, a portion of the web is severed by a die-punch and the resultant cover patch and accompanying magnetic segment are moved into contact relation with the flexible substrate and bonded thereto.
