Abstract:
An abutment is provided with a screw access hole and a slot in its sidewall adapted to allow a driver to access a screw in the screw access hole at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the screw. The abutment may include a screw seat and may be connected to an implant via a screw in the screw seat. A prosthesis, which may include a driver access channel that has a diameter less than the outer diameter of the drive portion of the screw, may be placed over the abutment. Methods of making a dental prosthesis and methods of attaching and removing the dental prosthesis from the implant are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Dental etchant compositions, processes for making the same, and methods for using the dental etchant compositions are disclosed. The dental etchant compositions include at least one acid and one or more dentin collagen cross-linking agents. The methods for using the dental etchant compositions may include contacting a mammal's tooth with a dental etchant composition that includes one or more acids and one or more dentin collagen cross-linking agents.
Abstract:
An apparatus is an implant-dentist more readily identifiable visual segregation amongst their oral-surgery arbor-tools used conjunction with a conventional hand-held power/rotary-tool. The arbor-tools generally has at least a tri-echeloned set, wherein are included progressions of drill-bit lengths and companion thread-taps appearing in three different diameters. Additionally, the drill-bit shanks are optionally provided with a radial-flange serving as an automatic depth-stop device and these radial-flanges may include a distinctive annular-marker device serving to readily indicate the length of the selected drill-bit, thereby obviating usual procedure of stopping to confirm via the obscure conventional alpha-numeric indicia.
Abstract:
Fixation pin (1) for fixing a dental drill template. The fixation pin (1) has a head (5) having a bearing surface (10) that is intended to bear at least partially on the drill template, or a sleeve provided in the drill template. The fixation pin (1) has a rod (15) having a shape of an essentially circular cylinder and which extends from the bearing surface (10) at an essentially right angle. The rod (15) is intended to be inserted into the drill template or the sleeve provided in the drill template.
Abstract:
A dental cleaning kit having a container internally holding a plurality of pieces or roll of dental floss is provided. The floss has a combination of tiny soft and stiff bristles formed thereto. The soft bristles are coated with a dried toothpaste, available in a variety of intense flavors. The kit container has a tongue scraper removably attached to the container's external surface. The floss is colored to correspond to a desired flavor. The container is colored to match the color of the floss contained therein.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for designing and producing a package intended for the protection and/or transportation of a product. All of the digital design steps for the package are integrated in the method for digitizing the product, which includes a step of laminating a virtual key form of the product used to define geometrical data of each layer of the package to be cut. Then, the cutting is carried out followed by the stacking of the layers of the package defined by the design steps for said package to form a real package. The invention also relates to the package obtained by the method.
Abstract:
A stabilizer for tooth prostheses, consisting of a double torsion spring, the arms (4, 5) of which are telescopically longitudinally movable in cylindrical guides (7, 8) in the prosthesis halves (1, 2), has a hook-shaped eyelet (9) on each of the ends of both of the stabilizer arms. The guides (7, 8) are closed on their external insertion ends, except for a narrow insertion slot (15) in the form of a mailbox slot, in the assembled functional position of the stabilizer in the prosthesis parts, the eyelets (9) and the eyelet planes and accordingly the planes of the stabilizer arms are directed perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the insertion slot (15). It is thereby achieved that the stabilizers (3) or their arms cannot slip out of the guides (7, 8) and overall their assembly and disassembly can be easily and rapidly undertaken without the aid of any tools.
Abstract:
An orthodontic bracket system including a plurality of interchangeable ligation covers so as to allow the patient and practitioner to create a desired aesthetic look. The inventive orthodontic bracket system includes a bracket base, at least one arch wire slot formed in the bracket base adapted to receive an arch wire therein, a first interchangeable ligation cover that when releasably assembled to the bracket base can be selectively moved relative to the bracket base between an open non-ligating position relative to the arch wire slot and a closed, ligating position relative to the arch wire slot, and a second interchangeable ligation cover of a different color and/or formed of a different material relative to the first cover. The interchangeable ligation covers can be removed and replaced with another cover of a different color and/or different material to create a different aesthetic appearance.
