    摘要: The method and apparatus for improving orthodontic bracket and arch wire technique where the individual brackets have an inner radius for attachment to a tooth band which conforms to the outer contour of the tooth both vertically and horizontally and has at least one groove therein for the reception of one or more arch wires having a radius for conforming to overall arch wire geometry and wherein the groove is cut with a torquing angle, a tipping angle, an in-out dimension and in some cases, a rotation compensation angle for cooperation with an unbent arch wire in which the various angles built into the bracket result in desired force vectors for movement of individual teeth to a desired position, and in the alternative the variations in dimensions and angles are built into the tooth band.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to indirect bonding orthodontic brackets to a patient's teeth. A geometric index pin is attached to the orthodontic bracket enabling the orthodontic bracket to be precisely held by a plastic tray. A computer program positions the index pin/bracket combination for a patient's teeth in a determined position and designs the tray to carry each bracket to the patient's tooth in its computer selected position. The index pin eliminates the necessity for the tray material to enclose the bracket which results in a dental tray one third the normal dental tray which saves tray material and reduces the print time of the tray. The ease of removal of the tray from the teeth after placement of the brackets is enhanced by clipping the index pins with a pin cutter.

    摘要: The invention relates to an orthodontic device which is particularly economical and as small as possible, and which has hooks and a small tube, produced from a sheet metal plate using stamping and bending techniques and without the use of welding or soldering. The orthodontic device comprises a base plate having a flat region with a gingival and an occlusal edge. An occlusal rolling forms the small tube. The gingival edge has a counter-directional rolling. Concave cuts are formed in the side edges in order to form wing-shaped hooks. Both rollings can hold an applicator/protector, with which the orthodontic device is protected during adhesion, and can then be applied to a tooth in the correct orientation.

The present invention is also related to a double-groove bracket with a groove extender, including a bracket base and a mesial groove and a distal auxiliary groove which are parallel and located at the upper and lower sides of the bracket base. The distance between the base of the mesial groove and the bracket base is greater than the distance between the base of the distal auxiliary groove and the bracket base.
