    摘要: The invention provides an automatic ligation tool which comfortably and quickly fastens ligature wires to brackets. There is provided an automatic ligation tool for orthodontists for fastening ligature wires to a bracket, that includes a tube with a first end portion having a side provided with first and second openings, a second end portion having an outer surface and an external screw thread on the outer surface, and an inner surface provided with a protuberance; a body including an inner surface provided with an internal screw thread associated with the external thread of the tube, guide grooves formed along the longitudinal direction on the inner surface of the body and a circumscribed groove formed between the internal screw thread and the guide grooves on the inner surface of the body; a rotation shaft inserted into the tube and the body, the shaft having first and second end parts, the first end part formed as a hook which extends out of the first opening, the first end part having an end extending into the second opening, the shaft having guide pins fitting in and sliding along the guide grooves; an elastic device positioned between the protuberance and the guide pins for providing a return force for the shaft; and a driving mechanism connected with the second and part of the shaft for rotating the shaft to fasten the ligature wire gripped by the hook to the bracket.

    摘要: An apparatus for correcting misalignments in human teeth comprises a rod-like member which has a grip holder for fixing a ligature wire to a brace and to brackets applied to teeth. The grip holder is connected to a rod-like tubular torsion bar arranged in the interior of a hand tube and an end tube. On the outer circumference of the torsion bar are formed threads, which cooperate via a ball cage with the threads formed on the hand tube. A rotary movement is imparted to the torsion bar and thereby the grip holder by an axial movement of the hand tube or the end tube. As a result of this rotary movement, the ends of a ligature wire inserted in the grip holder are twisted for fixing a brace guided in the bracket, and consequently the brace is fixed to the bracket for transferring the force of the brace to the teeth. Therefore fixing is sped up and simplified as compared with other fixing methods.

    摘要: An accessory allows for straight archwires to be converted to looped archwires. The accessory has an archwire receiving channel which is defined between a first elongated coupling member and a second elongated coupling member. The archwire receiving channel is used for crimping the accessory to an existing archwire. An elastically deformable bridge, connected between the first elongated coupling member and the second elongated coupling member, imparts retraction or protraction once activated. The elastically deformable bridge is formed from one or more segments. Curved segments and linear segments are possible, which can be combined to form various shapes, for example omega loops and mushroom shapes. The first coupling member and the second coupling member have an angled lower portion and upper portion to facilitate engagement with existing archwires. Anchoring notches can also be used in conjunction with elastic bands for enhanced orthodontic corrections.
