Abstract:
A plumbing fixture trim snap connect comprises a faucet handle assembly and a base assembly. The faucet handle assembly includes an escutcheon bearing upper and lower internal tabs, freely rotatable around a faucet handle. The base assembly includes a base seat on which a spring and retainer are maintained in an upwardly biased position. The seat includes a groove and helical cut, and the retainer includes indents in its surface to accommodate the upper and lower tabs of the escutcheon. By pushing the escutcheon down atop the base assembly and rotating the escutcheon relative to the base assembly, the apparatus can be assembled. Disassembly can be accomplished simply by rotating the escutcheon in the opposite direction.
Abstract:
A flexible, plastic collar for sealing the space between a water supply line or pipe and a wall aperture, the collar including an annular, generally conical surface, a convex front face, a concave rear face, a centered opening provided with a sleeve for receiving and sealing against the pipe, a tapered edge for sealing against the wall and an annular ridge for preventing over-deflection of the collar when pressed against the wall.
Abstract:
A utility pipe encasement collar for preventing water from weather related sources such as rain and snow from traveling rearwardly along the exterior surface of the utility pipe and into a building structure from which the pipe projects. In a first embodiment the collar includes a weather proof elastomeric sheet material having an opening therethrough sized to inherently huggingly accommodate a utility pipe passed through the opening, and a generally rigid support member extending laterally from the elastomeric sheet material. In a second embodiment the collar includes a first generally rigid weather proof sheet member having an upright generally U-shape opening therethrough and a second generally rigid weather proof sheet member having an inverted generally U-shape opening therethrough. The upright and inverted openings are alignably slidable opposite each other while the utility pipe is disposed within both U-shaped openings to thereby provide a generally perpendicular collar surrounding the pipe as formed by the sheet members.
Abstract:
A fluid control valve includes a swivel joint for pivotally mounting a decorative escutcheon relative to a valve body so that the escutcheon can mount flush against the mounting wall when the wall or the valve is out of plumb. There is a valve housing from which extends a rotatable valve stem, an escutcheon mountable around the housing or stem, a swivelable bearing also disposed about the housing or stem, and a skirt mounted around the stem. Tightening the skirt drives its inner edge against the bearing which in turn abuts the escutcheon. The escutcheon can pivot relative to the bearing due to abutting curved surfaces on the escutcheon and bearing.
Abstract:
A pivoting sleeve assembly for aligning a fluid delivery device perpendicular to a mounting surface when the fluid delivery device is mounted to a wall, the pivoting sleeve assembly made up of a fluid delivery device housed within a sleeve, the sleeve having a lower tubular portion and an upper arcuate portion, and an annular pivot ring, the inner surface thereof having an arcuate shape to conform to the shape of the upper arcuate portion of the sleeve, so that the sleeve may pivot within the contours of the pivot ring. This allows the sleeve to orient the fluid delivery device for proper mounting to the surface.

A pivoting sleeve assembly for aligning a fluid delivery device perpendicular to a mounting surface when the fluid delivery device is mounted to a wall, the pivoting sleeve assembly comprising a fluid delivery device attached to a fluid supply, a sleeve, attached to and surrounding the fluid delivery device, the sleeve having an inner surface and an outer surface, and having a lower tubular portion and an upper arcuate portion directly above the lower tubular portion, the arcuate portion curving upwards and outwards from the top of the lower tubular portion, and an annular pivot ring having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface having an arcuate shape to conform to the shape of the upper arcuate portion of the sleeve, so that the sleeve may pivot within the contours of the pivot ring. This allows the sleeve to orient the fluid delivery device for proper mounting to the surface.

Abstract:
A universal-fit replacement flange and handle set includes a template formed with an easily torn apart material and having a pair of lugs which have free ends with pre-punched holes spaced at a distance from one another. The set further includes mounting brackets, each having opposite ends formed with openings and pivotally mounted on the lug by its one end to pivot in a position, wherein the other end is attached to a support surface. The set has a flange and handle assembly having a pair of recesses spaced at a distance equal to the distance between the pre-punched holes. The recesses are aligned with the pre-punched holes and are traversed by fasteners attaching the flange and handle assembly to the brackets upon removing the template. The set further includes an adapter enabling adjustment of a handle of the flange and handle assembly with respect to the support surface.
Abstract:
A faucet fitting system having interchangeable components useable in both single handle and dual handle faucet fixtures. The component system is designed to allow the same putty plate with breast plate, waterway spout, aerator and mounting nuts to be used with the various escutcheons, metering valves and waterways associated with the single handle and duel handle faucet fixtures. Specially constructed water valves, putty plates and escutcheon constructions useable in conjunction with the system are also disclosed.
