    Abstract: A flashing structure for mounting onto a roof surface and used for receiving shingles. The flashing structure includes a first drainage channel extending longitudinally along the flashing structure. The flashing structure also includes a securing lip positioned over the first drainage channel and extending along the same, a gap being defined between the securing lip and the first drainage channel, the gap being shaped and sized for receiving the shingles. The flashing structure also includes a second drainage channel extending longitudinally along the flashing structure, the second drainage channel being fluidly connected to the first drainage channel. These features can be adapted to various flashings used in the metal roofing industry, including, but not limited to gable-end flashings, end-wall flashings, and valley flashings, as well as other related flashing structures.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus that provides a flashing member configured to reduce moisture intrusion in an upper portion of a wall proximate a vent in an eave portion of a building structure. The flashing member includes a upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion extending to the lower portion. The upper portion is formed and configured to be positioned adjacent a portion of a roof structure above the eave portion so as maintain air circulation through the vent into the roof structure. The lower portion is formed and configured to be positioned against the wall of the building structure and configured to extend below the vent. In this manner, the lower portion and the upper portion act in conjunction to facilitate reduction of moisture intrusion into the upper portion of the wall in the building structure.

    Abstract: An integral, pre-formed edge closure fabricated from a non-corrosive, durable material includes an anchoring flange for attachment to a roof structure, an upper flange, an intermediate panel spanning between the anchoring flange and the upper flange, a cant panel positioned at an acute angle relative to the upper flange to define a cant strip along a length of the edge closure, and a mounting strip above the cant panel for securing the edge closure to a concrete parapet or other adjoining vertical wall on a roof structure. The anchoring flange and upper flange are spaced apart for receiving a thickness of insulation of lightweight concrete therebetween. The intermediate panel is provided with vent holes for venting gasses and moisture which accumulate within the roof structure, thereby reducing the likelihood of premature roof failure.     Abstract: A utility pipe encasement collar for preventing water from weather related sources such as rain and snow from traveling rearwardly along the exterior surface of the utility pipe and into a building structure from which the pipe projects. In a first embodiment the collar includes a weather proof elastomeric sheet material having an opening therethrough sized to inherently huggingly accommodate a utility pipe passed through the opening, and a generally rigid support member extending laterally from the elastomeric sheet material.
