摘要： A musical instrument neck formed from first and second elongate neck blanks, each having an inner face, the inner faces being fastened together. An elongate arcuate groove extends along the inner face of the first neck blank only. Coaxial holes are formed in the inner faces of the neck blanks, the hole in the first neck blank being aligned with and perpendicular to one end of the groove. An elongate truss rod is positioned in the groove and an anchor pin is connected to one end of the truss rod, perpendicular thereto, the pin extending into the first and second holes in the neck blanks so as to simultaneously anchor one end of the truss rod and align the first and second neck blanks during a gluing operation.

摘要： A guitar neck incorporating truss rod apparatus, in which a bowed truss rod sufficiently strong and rigid to withstand large compressive and tensile stresses is inserted through an anchor affixed centrally of the neck. One end of the truss rod is clamped for prevention of rotational or axial movement. The other end of the truss rod is threaded into an elongated adjustment nut the inner end of which bears against a shoulder in the neck body, and the outer end of which bears against a stop block located below and concealed by the topnut of the neck. The stop block is apertured to permit entrance of a wrench to adjust the nut, and thus effect either compressive or tensile loading of the truss rod for flexing of the neck in either direction. The means for securing the anchor are concealed below one of the face dots present on the finger board of the guitar neck.

摘要： A neck construction for attachment to the body of a guitar, or similar stringed instrument, which includes a headpiece, elongated neck and means for attachment to the instrument body, all formed as a unitary metal casting, only the fretted fingerboard being an initially separate piece. The elongated portion has a unique configuration, including a lower curved portion with an integral upper wall consisting of flat, planar portions extending inwardly from the edges of the curved portion to spaced, opposing edges. The fingerboard is affixed to the planar portions in covering relating thereto and thus to the space therebetween, to define an enclosed chamber along the majority of the neck's length, which is of uniform shape and thickness, tapering gradually outwardly from the head toward the end attached to the body. The attachment may be integral, i.e., by forming the neck and body as a single piece, or by other securing means when the neck and body are initially separate.

摘要： A warp restoring device for use in a neck of a stringed musical instrument. The device comprises a pair of rods held in parallel relationship. A connecting block is secured at a common end of the rods. A threaded member cooperates with the connecting block to cause limited axial displacement of one of the rods. A rod connection is spaced from a far end of the rods to immovably interconnect both said rods in a connection zone to control the position of a bending zone for the rods when the threaded member is rotated in a predetermined direction.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a method and its associated article for forming the neck of a guitar so that a torsion rod disposed within the neck can serve to straighten neck or counteract the tension or bowing effect of guitar strings. The method includes taking two similarly shaped blanks of stock material and routing a center portion complementarily formed to accommodate a torsion rod. Each element of stock material is routed to provide a mirror image of each other and dowel means are essentially disposed to provide further support for the two halves of stock material when they are joined together as by glueing. The terminal longitudinal extent of each of the stock articles is provided with means for retaining the thus assembled stock article for subsequent carving.

摘要： The present invention discloses a stringed musical instrument. The stringed musical instrument comprises a body having a string-slider nut assembly; a neck having a rectangular slot; a T-bar assembly having a plurality of holes fastened securely in the rectangular slot of the neck of the instrument; a finger board consisting of a plurality of rectangular pieces forming a plurality of lengthwise spaced recesses when the rectangular pieces are placed adjacent to each other, wherein the fingerboard is placed upon the T-bar assembly, and tubular barrel frets are secured firmly in the lengthwise space recesses formed in the fingerboard with barrel fret screws. The string-slider nut assembly includes a number of pulleys, through which a given string passes so that the string can be stretched to produce a high pitch and a "sliding" musical tone, as may be desired.
