摘要: A pitch changer system for a string musical instrument, including a lever assembly, a rotating saddle assembly, a swing plate, and a lever tensioning assembly. Applying force to move the lever in a first direction forces a bell crank matingly coupled to the lever into rotation such that a coupling system of the lever tensioning assembly causes the swing plate to force a rotating saddle of the rotating saddle assembly into rotation to elongate and thereby temporarily change the pitch of a string coupled to the rotating saddle.

摘要: Systems and methods for translating strings of a stringed instruments as well as providing for adjustable tensioning. In embodiments, a stringed instrument, may include an instrument body having a front side and a back side wherein, as with most stringed instruments, the strings are disposed on the front side of the body for playing. Different from conventional stringed instruments though, at least a portion of at least one string may be disposed on the backside of the body as well. Thus, a first set of string anchor points are disposed on front side and a second set of string anchor points are disposed on the back side. That is, the strings are translated form the front side to the back side by passing the one or more translated strings through an aperture in the body called a through-bridge. Further, embodiments may include additional versatility by having adjustable tensioning systems.

摘要: In effect, the Sculptured Neck Guitar comprises of purposefully structured fret shapes depicting a three-dimensional pyramid or top half of a circle into the entire guitar neck; face, sides, and the back uniformly. This structure of frets allows drastically improved string bending and also affords multiple variations of string and fret contact points to achieve multiple pitches sounded from one originating fret. Each fret position is enabled to produce a myriad of pitches opening multiple dimensions of pitch options on any or every fret. These structural modifications alone enable the musician a myriad of mobility and multiple new playing techniques adding new sound options within every fret when played while also maintaining the standard functionality and traditional sounds the guitar offers. To simplify, the invention affords a musician the ability to produce multiple notes with one finger on one fret by dramatically bending one string.

摘要: The present invention is a device and method for teaching note locations, fretboard patterns, scales, chords, and songs on the fingerboard of a fretted stringed instrument (“fretboard”), such as an electric or acoustic guitar, bass guitar, or other fretted instrument. The invention comprises a set of affixable fretboard strips (“strips”) that adhere to the surface of the stringed instrument, using a mild adhesive or other means of attachment, so as not to damage the instrument, and a number of electronic illuminable markings, such as LED lights, which indicate musical notes and concepts. Once applied to an instrument, an external controller illuminates the electronic illuminable markings in sequence in order to communicate the note positions of notes, scales, chords, playable patterns and songs in order to teach the same to would be students.

摘要: The fingerboard/fretboard and/or bridge of a stringed instrument such as a guitar or violin is constructed lead crystal in lieu of the tradition wood construction utilized for these components. The lead crystal components are identically shaped to the components they are replacing. Changing the materials of construction of the fingerboard/fretboard and/or bridge to lead crystal in the stringed instrument creates a sound which is cleaner and with less distortion than those stringed instrument with a wooden fingerboard/fretboard and/or bridge. Additionally, utilizing a lead crystal the fingerboard/fretboard and/or bridge also provides a unanticipated benefit, the instrument is no longer capable of creating a screeching sound when played improperly. The resulting instrument is one which is simpler to play for both novices and advanced players, which is still capable of emanating an appealing sound.

摘要: A dismountable stringed musical instrument with a splittable fingerboard and an acoustic sound is disclosed having a hollow body composed by two parts shaped as half empty shell that meets each other on their outer perimeter, defining a sound chamber. The fingerboard is splitted in two parts that can be re-assembled by a rigid inner core which works as a reinforcement and as a trail to allows the fingerboard cutted portions to slide on it meeting each other perfectly and by a latch toggle clamp which hold the two parts strictly merged together, taking back the fingerboard to its original playable smoothness. The neck can be dismounted to from the body and then re-assembled in the playing position also adjusting its inclination at will by movable elements placed on the neck extremity which faces the top portion of the body support area.
