摘要： A food slicing machine is described which has a slicing blade (15) for slicing a food product. A moveable gate (13) is positioned adjacent to the blade and moveable between an operative position in which the gate forms an abutment against which the food product is pressed prior to slicing, and an inoperative retracted position in which the food product can advance towards the blade for slicing. The gate undergoes a downwardly directed movement generally towards the blade when the gate moves from the operative position to the inoperative position so that the food product is advanced above the retracted gate towards the slicing blade.

摘要： A system and method of coating a food product and the product coated by the method is disclosed. The method includes the steps of transporting a food product on a conveyor; applying a first coating to the top and bottom surfaces of the food product while the food product is on the conveyor; and subsequently applying a second coating while the food product is on the conveyor. The first coating can include a plurality of crumbs having a mean particle size of between about 2 mm and about 4 mm and provide a rough texture on the food product. The second coating can include a flour based flavoring and or seasoning.

The cradle comprises flexible sheet means wrappable round the egg, mounted in a pair of half-shell units (10, 11) mounted for opening and closing around the egg. The half-shell units are of a silicone elastomer with crimped resistance wire incorporated therein, and each backed by a set of resilient fingers. The control circuitry includes temperature sensing means adjacent to the resistance means, and means (15) for setting the desired temperature and cooking time.

摘要： A pastry blender or cooked fruit and vegetable masher has a base portion, a side portion and a handle member and is such that the handle is separated from the base portion. The base portion includes an edge frame member that preferably is in the form of a continuous closed loop. The base portion further includes a plurality of cutter wire members which extend between opposed portions of the edge frame member. The cutter wire members preferably have a cross-sectional profile that includes a generally triangularly shaped first region that tapers from a wide portion to an apex; and a second region that preferably is angled or arcuately sloped to encourage foodstuffs to slide off the second region. The cutter wire members are positioned in spaced parallel relation one to another and are rigidly secured to the edge frame member. The spacing between the cutter wire members is at least five times the greatest horizontal width of any one cutter wire member.
