摘要： In a printer, a recording medium can be fed into and drawn out of a body through a rear opening formed in the body. A top cover assembly including a top cover and a shutter is angularly movable relatively to the body between an open position permitting access to an interior of the body and a closed position prohibiting access to the interior of the body. The recording medium can be fed into and drawn out of the body through an upper opening formed in the top cover. An inner surface of the shutter serving as a guide surface for the recording medium is exposed directly to the interior of the body when the top cover assembly is in the closed position. The shutter extends from a position adjacent the upper opening to a position adjacent the rear opening through a lower surface of a rear wall of the top cover. The shutter is movable relatively to the top cover between an open position opening the upper opening and a closed position closing the upper opening.

摘要： A sound reducing construction for shielding sound in a confined box, the box including a first plate component formed with a first open end portion and a second plate component formed with a second open end portion and accommodating therein a machine which generates the sound, the first plate component being movable with respect to the second plate component. The sound reducing construction comprises: a packing unit having one end fixed to the first open end portion of the first component and having another end portion in contact with the second open end portion when the first component is rested on the second component; and, the first and second open end portions providing stepped portions in conformance with each other. The first and second open end portions define two horizontally extending gaps whose vertical heights are different from each other and a vertically extending gap. The packing unit is positioned in one of the horizontally extending gap. The first and second component are cover and a main box which houses a printer therein.

摘要： An acoustic enclosure (10) has interconnected sound reducing panels forming a substantially rectangular structure which is configured to house a computer printer. Each side (12,14) panel is a multiple strata panel having an outer polymeric stratum (26), a multiple channel intermediate thermoplastic stratum (28) and an inner open celled acoustic material stratum (30). The rear and bottom panels (16, 18) are multiple stratum panels, having multiple channel intermediate thermoplastic stratum (46) which is sandwiched between inner and outer polyurethane foam strata (44,48). An adhesive material (42) is provided for bonding the outer stratum to the intermediate stratum and the intermediate stratum to the inner stratum for each of the panels. An angle member (62) affixed to the intermediate stratum is provided for joining adjacent panels of the enclosure. A rigid thermoplastic hinged cover (22) having a uniform bend (52) is provided for closing the enclosure.

摘要： A housing for an impact printer has a case body and a cover thereof. They define therebetween an opening for the passage of the paper to be printed and the printed paper. A paper shelf lies over the top surface of the case body, and supported at one end rotatably away from the case body. The end of the paper shelf is located in the vicinity of the opening, and spaced apart from the case body and the cover only to the extent required for the passage of the paper to be printed and the printed paper. The top surface of the case body has at least one projection extending transversely of the paper to be printed. The paper shelf has a lower surface facing the top surface of the case body and formed with at least one projection extending transversely of the paper to be printed. This projection is spaced apart from the projection on the case body longitudinally of the paper to be printed. The projection of the paper shelf has a lower extremity lying at a level below the upper extremity of the projection on the case body.

摘要： Apparatus for attenuating noise necessarily emitted from output slots of a printer mechanism enclosure and utilizing a minimal amount of enclosure components of significantly reduced size. Input and output housings or compartments for noise attenuation are provided, each of which form elongated narrow guideways. One end of each of the guideways of each of said compartments is aligned with the paper input and output slots, respectively, of the printer mechanism housing and is sealed to prevent noise at the juncture. The guideways have narrow passageways extending therethrough, but are sufficiently wide to permit the paper passing therethrough to move without experiencing any drag resistance due to the presence of the guideways. At least one surface of the guideways confronting and substantially parallel to the moving paper web is lined with a suitable noise attenuating foam. Each guideway is of a length sufficient to provide a significant reduction in noise level at the outlet ends of the guideways as compared with the noise levels at the inlet and outlet slots of the printer mechanism housing in the absence of the noise attenuators.The attenuators are adapted to be easily removable in order to service and maintain both the attenuators and the printer as well as to facilitate insertion of fresh paper.
