摘要: Provided is an alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheet including a base steel sheet, the base steel sheet containing a given amount of C, Si, Mn, and other elements. The alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is provided with an alloyed hot-dip galvanized layer on a surface of the base steel sheet, the alloyed hot-dip galvanized layer containing, in mass %, Fe: more than or equal to 5% and less than or equal to 15%, and having a thickness of more than or equal to 3 μm and less than or equal to 30 μm. The alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheet includes an A layer immediately under the surface of the base steel sheet, the A layer being formed in the base steel sheet and having a thickness of more than or equal to 2 μm and less than or equal to 20 μm from the surface of the base steel sheet, containing more than or equal to 50 vol % of a ferrite structure, and containing more than or equal to 90 mass % of unoxidized Fe, less than or equal to 10 mass % of a total of contents of oxides of Fe, Si, Mn, P, S, and Al, and less than 0.05 mass % of C.

摘要: A high-strength hot-dip galvanized steel sheet excellent in impact resistance and worked portion corrosion resistance including a hot-dip galvanized plating layer on a steel sheet base material whose tensile strength is 590 MPa or more, wherein the plating layer includes projecting alloy layers being in contact with the steel sheet base material, a number density of the projecting alloy layers is 4 pieces/mm or more, wherein the steel sheet base material includes: a miniaturized layer being directly in contact with the interface between the steel sheet base material and the plating layer; a decarburized layer being in contact with the miniaturized layer; and an inner layer other than the miniaturized layer and the decarburized layer, and one or more kinds of oxides of Si and Mn are contained in layers of the miniaturized layer, the decarburized layer, and the projecting alloy layers.

摘要: Steel material for composite pressure vessel liners that, when used as raw material for manufacturing a composite pressure vessel liner, yields a liner having sufficient strength and a high fatigue limit and enables the manufacture of an inexpensive composite pressure vessel is provided. Steel material for composite pressure vessel liners comprises: a chemical composition containing, in mass %, C: 0.10% to 0.60%, Si: 0.01% to 2.0%, Mn: 0.1% to 5.0%, P: 0.0005% to 0.060%, S: 0.0001% to 0.010%, N: 0.0001% to 0.010%, and Al: 0.01% to 0.06%, with a balance being Fe and incidental impurities; and a metallic microstructure in which a mean grain size of prior austenite grains is 20 μm or less, and a total area ratio of martensite and lower bainite is 90% or more.

摘要: A method and system for recovering a high yield of low carbon ferrochrome from chromite and low carbon ferrochrome produced by the method. A stoichiometric mixture of feed materials including scrap aluminum granules, lime, silica sand, and chromite ore are provided into a plasma arc furnace. The scrap aluminum granules are produced from used aluminum beverage containers. The feed materials are heated, whereupon the aluminum in the aluminum granules produces an exothermic reaction reducing the chromium oxide and iron oxide in the chromite to produce molten low carbon ferrochrome with molten slag floating thereon. The molten low carbon ferrochrome is extracted, solidified and granulated into granules of low carbon ferrochrome. The molten slag is extracted, solidified and granulated into granules of slag.

The method comprises hot rolling a slab comprising, by mass %, C: 0.05 to 0.30%, Si: 0.1 to 2.0% and Mn: 1.0 to 4.0%, then coiling the steel sheet into a coil at a specific temperature TC, and pickling the steel sheet, cold rolling the hot-rolled steel sheet resulting from the hot rolling, annealing the cold-rolled steel sheet resulting from the cold rolling under specific conditions, and galvanizing the annealed sheet resulting from the annealing in a galvanizing bath containing 0.12 to 0.22 mass % Al.

摘要: A valve seat insert made of an iron-base sintered alloy is configured to have a structure in which the base matrix phase is a fine carbide precipitation phase in which a fine carbide being 10 μm or less in size is precipitated and which has a hardness of 550 HV or more in Vickers hardness; and in the base matrix phase, hard-particles having a hardness of 650-1200 HV in Vickers hardness are dispersed in an area percentage of 20-40%, a diffusional phase is formed in an area percentage of more than 0% and not more than 5%, and solid-lubricant particles are dispersed in an area percentage of 0-5%. Even if a valve having a high face hardness of 400 HV or more, or 600 HV or more is used, a facing valve seat insert wears only slightly, improving valve train durability.

In decarburization annealing is not less than 80° C./s, a surface roughness Ra of a work roll in final cold rolling is 0.01-3.0 μm, a total content of alkaline earth metals to MgO in annealing separator is 0-5 mass %, an average length L in rolling direction of passed crystal grains is not more than 25 mm, a ratio of crystal grains having a length in rolling direction of not less than 0.5 μm is 40-90%, and an existence ratio of alkaline earth metal sulfides having a size corresponding to circle of not less than 0.5 μm in a cross section of forsterite film is not more than 0.2/μm per unit length in sheet width direction.
