    摘要: A block and various block assemblies are disclosed. The block has at least one side including one or more tapered slots. Each of the slots has one or more apertures. The at least one side has a bottom end comprising at least one footing and a top end comprising a groove. Blocks are stacked by fitting the footing of one block into the groove of another block. A block assembly comprises a first block, a second block, a double key, and connector tubes. The first block is connected to the second block using the double key, which is inserted into a slot on each of the blocks. A connector tube is threaded through apertures on the slots and the double key.

    摘要: A masonry wall is formed of masonry block units abutted with one another in series within stacked rows. Each masonry block unit is a concrete body having two opposing exterior side walls defining respective portions of the assembly masonry wall. Vertical reinforcement channels are formed in the exterior side walls of each masonry block unit so as to be open laterally to the exterior. The reinforcement channels align with corresponding channels in the masonry block units in adjacent stacked rows to receive elongate reinforcement members, for example rebar, inserted laterally therein from the exterior surface of the assembly masonry wall. A bonding material can then be recessed laterally into the reinforcement channels so as to bond the reinforcement members to the masonry assembly.

    摘要: A method for building a mechanical secured block structure, including placing a footer block on a desired surface, inserting two respective starter bar nuts into the footer block, inverting the footer block, placing a first concrete masonry unit over respective first and second anchor bars, aligning the first concrete masonry unit with the footer block, placing second and third footer blocks adjacent the first footer block, placing a second concrete masonry unit adjacent the first concrete masonry unit, positioning each respective concrete masonry unit to equally straddle two adjacent footer blocks, positioning respective anchor bars atop respective concrete masonry units, and bolting respective concrete masonry units to respective footer blocks to interconnect the two respective concrete masonry units and the three respective footer blocks to define a contiguous wall. Each respective masonry unit and each respective footer block are post tensioned to be under compression.

    摘要: A restoration anchoring system for use in cavity wall structures having an inner wythe and an outer wythe that requires remediation or re-anchoring is disclosed. The anchoring system employs a three-part system that is installed within the existing bed joints of the outer wythe to reattach and re-anchor the outer wythe to the structural inner wythe. The three-part system includes a helical dowel, a seismic T-clip and a reinforcement member. The helical dowel is self-threading and self-drilling. When the three-part system is installed within the outer wythe and attached to the inner wythe, the system is captively embedded in the outer wythe thereby providing a seismic construct.
