An improved a system for straightening and/or supporting a wall is provided. The system includes an elongated vertical member and an elongated horizontal member positioned to abut the wall. The elongated horizontal member has a first end and a second end, the former being positioned adjacent to the elongated vertical member. A cinch plate having at least two plates is provided. One of the plates is connected to the elongated vertical member. A driving member can be movably coupled to the other plates of the cinch plate and configured to force the elongated horizontal member to move relative to the elongated vertical member. Movement of the elongated horizontal member applies a corresponding force to the wall. The elongated horizontal member may not be connected to the elongated vertical member, but rather a compressive force applied between the driving member and the wall can vertically support the elongated horizontal member.

A wall straightening support assembly having a floor bracket secured to a floor and a jack assembly secured to and extending between a pair of joists. A support member is positioned between a collapsing wall and both the jack assembly and the floor bracket such that the jack assembly applies selective force to the support member to push the wall back to straight.

A wall straightening apparatus provides multiple independently controllable jacking members pressing outward on diagonal braces to push those braces against the wall to move the wall into a vertical alignment. Feedback control of the jacking members provides coordinated straightening of large wall sections with lessened cracking and distortion.

A system for stabilizing an existing basement wall includes a wall stabilizing system including a first wall anchoring device installed on a surface of the existing basement wall. The first wall anchoring device may further include a first anchoring plate fastened to a surface of the existing basement wall tethered via a substantially rigid rod to a second anchoring plate embedded underground outside the existing basement wall at a distance away from the existing basement wall. The system may include a first layer of sprayable concrete material applied over the existing basement wall. System may further include a third anchoring plate installed on a surface of the first layer of sprayable concrete material. The system may also include a second layer of sprayable concrete material applied over the first layer of sprayable concrete material.

An arrangement for supporting a building wall, such as a foundation wall, against inward movement caused by shifting of adjacent soil or by hydrostatic forces or other forces acting on the exterior surface of the wall to push it inwardly. The support arrangement includes upper and lower jacking members that each engage respective upper and lower sections of a support beam that is placed vertically against the surface of the wall to be supported. Each jacking member includes a respective jackscrew that is rotatable for applying a wall holding or a wall restoring force to either or both of the upper and lower sections of the wall.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for supporting and straightening a framed wall includes a plurality of beams, a mounting plate, a bolt, and a pusher. The mounting plate is secured to the beam and the bolt is threadably secured to the mounting plate. The bolt is received by the pusher. When tightened, the bolt applies pressure to the pusher which in turn applies pressure to the framed wall. Alternatively, a plurality of mounting plates and pushers may be used to apply pressure to a cross beam and thereby efficiently apply pressure to a plurality of framed wall beams. By tightening the bolt, the user can apply pressure to the beam and straighten or retain the wall. As the wall shifts during periods of correction, the bolt may be re-tightened to apply additional pressure to the wall.

A below ground wall anchoring and straightening device including a horizontally disposed elongate rod member and an earth anchor secured to one end of the rod member. An elongate wall brace plate is attached intermediate its ends to the other end of the rod member and a wall brace plate extends upright in its direction of elongation and this elongate plate is secured at its bottom end to a base portion of the wall structure to be straightened. The rod member includes a fastener for engaging the rod member and thereby pressing the elongate plate against the wall to anchor and straighten the wall.

A wall brace system and/or a retainer member thereof that supports a structural member of the wall brace system, as well as a method of forming the retainer member. In particular, the retainer member includes tabs formed from the body of the retainer member. For example, the tabs may be formed from the edges of the retainer body or from within the edges of the retainer body. When installed, the wall brace system with the retainer member provides an apparatus for supporting a wall in a building structure, which has been moved inward by pressure from the earth outside in order to return the wall to a desired position. The wall brace system comprises a structural member, the retainer member, a mounting member, a load member, a jack, and/or a locking member.

A method of repairing a tilt wall construction includes affixing a fixture at a bottom of the wall, installing a piling into the earth directly below the fixture, forming a support member having a link corresponding to a distance between the fixture and a head the piling, and affixing the support member to the fixture and to the head such that the piling supports the wall. The fixture is an angle member that is anchored to the wall. A plate is affixed onto a top surface of the head of the piling. The support member can include a pair of steel pipes that are welded at one end to the plate and an opposite end welded to the angle member.
