    摘要: An actuation system for remotely transitioning a downhole wellbore tool between distinct operational configurations includes a sensor that can detect a downhole pressure in a tubular string extending into a wellbore and an electronic decoder that monitors the pressure the tubular string until a target pressure profile is detected. When the target pressure profile is detected, the decoder issues a command to an actuation mechanism, causing the downhole wellbore tool to transition between the distinct operational configurations. The target pressure profile may be transmitted from the surface location by operating a pump to produce specific downhole pressure levels for specific time intervals. The specific downhole pressures do not need to be applied directly to the downhole wellbore tool, and thus the each of a plurality of various downhole wellbore tools may be operated independently without interfering with one another.

    摘要: A method includes positioning a downhole acquisition tool in a wellbore in a geological formation. The method includes operating a pump module to gather information for a fluid outside of the downhole acquisition tool that enters the downhole acquisition tool from a first flowline, a second flowline, or both while the downhole acquisition tool is within the wellbore. Operating the pump module includes controlling a valve assembly to a first valve configuration that enables the fluid to flow into the downhole tool via the first flowline fluidly coupled to a first pump module. Operating the pump module includes controlling a valve assembly to a second valve configuration that enables the fluid to flow into the downhole tool via the second flowline fluidly coupled to a second pump module, and selectively using a turnaround module or a crossover portion disposed between the first flowline and the second flowline to permit discharging the fluid from one flowline to the other flowline by actuating a valve associated with the turnaround module when the first pump module or the second pump module is not in use.

    摘要: Systems and methods include a mechanical isolation device that comprises a sleeve, which includes a port for fluid flow between an internal bore of the sleeve and an inside of a tubular. A receiver positioned in the internal bore includes a first orifice at a first axial location on the receiver, and a second orifice at a second axial location on the receiver. The second orifice is either aligned or un-aligned with the port of the sleeve. The receiver is slidable within the sleeve to: (i) move the first orifice into alignment with the port and either move the second orifice out of alignment with the port or keep the second orifice out of alignment with the port; and (ii) move the first orifice out of alignment with the port so that a portion of the receiver covers the port to block fluid flow between the internal bore of the sleeve and the port.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method of controlling flow communication with an apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a flow communicator, a flow control member, an uphole-disposed flow interference effector uphole of the flow communicator, and a downhole-disposed flow interference effector downhole of the flow communicator. While each of the uphole-disposed flow interference effector and the downhole-disposed flow interference-effector, independently, is contacting the flow control member, the flow communicator is closed. Displacement of the flow control member, relative to the flow communicator, in the downhole direction, opens the flow communicator. While there is an absence of occlusion of the second uphole-disposed flow interference-effecting member of the uphole-disposed flow interference effector, the flow control member is disposable, relative to the flow communicator, such that each one of the second-uphole disposed flow interference-effecting member and the downhole-disposed flow interference-effector, independently, is contacting the flow control member, such that the flow communicator is closed.
