摘要: A downhole chemical reactor can be placed in a downhole environment to generate gas in-situ. This gas can pressurize an inner pressure chamber of the downhole chemical reactor to create a pressure-on-demand source or to maintain a constant pressure reservoir, depending on the configuration of a reactor controller coupled to an inlet of the inner pressure chamber. The inner pressure chamber contains one or more desired chemical reactants and the reactor controller operates to permit well fluid to flow from the wellbore and into the inner pressure chamber. The well fluid reacts with the desired chemical reactants and generates one or more gases such as hydrogen or carbon dioxide. The generated gases pressurize the inner pressure chamber and a pressure regulator coupled to the inner pressure chamber maintains a maximum pressurization of the inner pressure chamber. For a constant pressure reservoir, the reactor controller repeats this cycle indefinitely.

The electro/hydraulic valve for use in a hydrocarbon production well, in one aspect, includes a fluid chamber and an electro/mechanical pump having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and further wherein an inlet check valve is positioned in fluid communication between the fluid chamber and the fluid inlet and an outlet check valve is positioned in fluid communication between the fluid outlet and a hydraulically controlled actuation member.

摘要: A drilling well pulling tool comprising a longitudinal body having an inner cavity. A sleeve is slideably disposed about a portion of the longitudinal body, the sleeve moveable from a first position to a second position. A dog member is retractable from an extended position to a retracted position relative the body when the sleeve is moved from the first position to the second position. A release lug abuts and resists movement of the sleeve from the first position, the lug releasable to the inner cavity thereby permitting slideable movement of the sleeve. An electromechanical actuator releases the release lug upon actuation.

摘要: Certain aspects are directed to a subsurface safety valve. The subsurface safety valve includes a closure mechanism and a piston assembly for actuating the closure mechanism. The piston assembly includes a first piston disposed in a first chamber, a second piston disposed in a second chamber adjacent to the first chamber, and first and second control lines. The second chamber has a second diameter that is smaller than a first diameter of the first chamber. The first control line selectively communicates pressure to the first piston in a downhole direction. The first piston applies force to the second piston in response to pressure being communicated to the first piston. The force can cause the closure mechanism to be actuated. The second control line communicates a second pressure to the first piston in an uphole direction that reduces an amount of force for displacing the second piston an uphole direction.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure are directed to tools actuated by pipe swell. A downhole assembly for a wellbore may be provided. The downhole assembly can include a first sleeve and a second sleeve. The first sleeve can expand from a first position to a second position in response to a first pressure applied to the first sleeve. The first sleeve can contract to the first position in response to a cessation of the first pressure. The second sleeve can be positioned adjacent to the first sleeve to define a swell chamber. The swell chamber can actuate a downhole tool by a pressure stored in the swell chamber by the expansion of the first sleeve.

摘要: A safety valve includes a housing defining first and secondary piston bores in fluid communication with each other via a port. A first piston is movably arranged within the first piston bore and has a first piston rod extending longitudinally from the first piston and coupled to a flow tube. A second piston is movably arranged within the secondary piston bore and has a secondary piston rod extending longitudinally from the second piston and axially engageable with the flow tube. Hydraulic fluid pressure acts on the first piston until the first piston axially moves and exposes the port, whereby the hydraulic fluid pressure is then able to enter the secondary piston bore and also act on the second piston.

摘要: A downhole circulating valve includes a generally tubular outer housing having a generally axially extending internal passageway. At least one generally longitudinally extending circulating passageway is formed through at least a portion of the housing. At least one exterior port and at least one interior port are in fluid communication with the circulating passageway. At least one seal plug is disposed within the circulating passageway. The seal plug has a first position relative to the housing wherein the seal plug is remote from the exterior port and the interior port, thereby allowing fluid flow between the exterior port and the interior port through the circulating passageway. The seal plug has a second position relative to the housing wherein the seal plug is between the exterior port and the interior port and wherein the seal plug forms at least one metal-to-metal seal with the circulating passageway, thereby preventing fluid flow between the exterior port and the interior port.

The fluid density measurement tool can include a cantilever beam and at least one strain sensor that is coupled to the cantilever beam. The cantilever beam can be housed in the fluid density measurement tool and is buoyed by a fluid that enters the fluid density measurement tool. The systems and methods measure strain values at the at least one strain sensor and determine a density of the fluid based on the calibration data, and the strain values measured at the at least one strain sensor.
