    摘要： A pressure relief valve and especially such a valve for use in the lid or other part of a cooking vessel. It is a feature of the valve that it automatically opens in response to certain pressure conditions, and requires manual resetting to the closed condition. The valve includes a closure member which is movable between valve open and valve closed positions, and a configuration dependent hold-open member which is operative, in one configuration, to bias the closure member into the open position and to hold it in that position. The hold-open member is annular and has a frusto-conical form in the operative configuration. An actuator is operable to move the closure member from the open position to the closed position, and the hold-open member responds to that movement by adopting a reversed conical configuration. The hold-open member is subjected to stress when moving between the two conical configurations and that stress is at least partially relieved at each of the open and closed positions of the valve. Because of that stress relief, the hold-open member has an oppositely directed biasing effect on the closure member in each of the two conditions of the valve.

    摘要： A pressure cooker for use in microwave ovens includes a microwave permeable bowl shaped container, a microwave permeable dome cover, and a steel locking ring permanently attached to the cover for maintaining the container and cover in fluid-tight seal during use. A safety valve, formed of flexible tubing, encounters a projection of the container and is deformed into a closed configuration responsive to movement of the cover, relative to the container, toward a locking position. A pressure regulator valve, consisting of a metal core surrounded by an elastically deformable casing, is positioned over a pressure control opening in the cover to maintain a selected operating pressure level in the pressure cooker. A pressure indicator and relief assembly, contained in a pressure release opening through the cover, indicates positive pressure in the chamber and is ejected in the event of an abnormally high pressure inside the housing.

    摘要： A pressure cooker in which a pressure vessel (1) and a lid (2) are associated with each other by means of a bayonet-type closure system (4, 5) is provided with a sealing gasket (3) fitted between the pressure vessel and the lid and with a controlled leakage device having a push-rod (8) mounted on the lid (2). The sealing gasket (3) has at least one groove (11) parallel to one edge of the gasket in a lateral face which is directed towards the pressure vessel (1) externally of this latter. When the sealing gasket (3) is displaced by the push-rod (8), the groove (11) establishes a calibrated leakage flow between the interior and the exterior of the pressure vessel.
