摘要: Embodiments of a flow control apparatus of the present invention generally include a vessel equipped with a pre-filter assembly, a substantially vertical, bottom-feeding liquid inlet line, a vapor space pressure equalization line, and a liquid outlet, wherein the vessel contains a pair of connected, horizontally oriented, O-ring and/or piston ring equipped sealing plates that are designed to rise and fall as a pair in response to gravity provided liquid pressure in the sump of the vessel, whereby an elevation of the sealing plates provides the liquid in fluid communication with the liquid outlet via internal orifices fluidly connected to one or more fluid conduits. Embodiments of a method of using embodiments of an apparatus of the present invention to control liquid flow are also provided.

摘要: A fuel filter device includes a bag-shaped filter member filtering fuel that is drawn into a fuel pump, an inner frame member retaining the filter member in an expanded state, and a mounting member connected to the inner frame member and serving to communicate an internal space of the filter member with an outside. A valve chamber is defined by the inner frame member and the mounting member, and a check valve serving to prevent backflow of fuel is disposed in the valve chamber. The check valve includes a flat-plate shaped valve body having elasticity. The check valve opens against its weight when the fuel pump is operated, and the check valve closes due to its weight when the operation of the fuel pump is stopped.

摘要: A hydrostatic tank floor relief valve of a construction described herein provides for equalization of hydrostatic pressure of fluid in a storage tank with hydrostatic pressure of ground water surrounding the storage tank. A high efficiency grate located in a flow channel of the hydrostatic tank floor relief valve blocks debris from entering the storage tank during pressure equalization, yet does not reduce effective flow rates through a flow channel of a given diameter. The hydrostatic tank floor relief valve optionally includes an elastomeric seal surface and a stainless steel seat ring that reduce the likelihood of particulate matter disrupting valve operation, and provide a more reliable seal.

摘要: A backflow resistant stop valve for an aircraft galley plumbing system comprises a valve body defining an inlet, and inlet chamber, a transfer chamber, an outlet chamber, and an exit. The valve incorporates an anti-backflow device at the exit to prevent backflow, and flow through the body is controlled by a pivoting paddle disposed within the valve body having an upper flap, a spindle, and a lower flap, where the upper flap seals against the inlet chamber and the lower flap seals against the outlet chamber when the paddle is rotated to a first position. The valve utilizes a negative pressure at the outlet chamber that biases the valve closed until a sufficient column of water overcomes the bias.

摘要: A check valve is provided for use with variable frequency drives and other applications. In one aspect, the check valve provides a poppet guided by a poppet guide in at least two locations to ensure stability between fully open and fully closed positions. In another aspect, the check valve includes a poppet guide adapted to receive a poppet in a stem receiving channel, the stem receiving channel including guide vanes engaging the poppet and auxiliary channels for self cleaning. The check valve may also include a valve seal. In one embodiment, the valve seal is an o-ring received by a poppet head, based of the poppet guide and valve seat. The valve seat and/or the base may include expansion channels to receive a portion of the valve seat during compression when the check valve is in a closed position.

The pressure relief valve includes a valve housing with: a cylindrical wall defining a flow passage, a valve body arranged to cooperate with a valve seat arranged in the outflow of the valve housing, a stem configured for axial guidance of the valve body, a lifting element or plate arranged further down in the flow passage relative to the valve seat, a flow constriction defining an essentially truncated conically shaped interior and arranged to encircle the lifting element such that a radial passage between the lifting element and flow constriction increase when the lifting element and the valve body is moved from a closed state of the pressure relief valve towards an open state of the pressure relief valve.

摘要: A degassing valve in a flexible container is disclosed. The valve includes a generally flat valve seat on a truncated generally dome shaped structure, and the valve seat is raised a height above the valve chamber base surface. A resilient, non-perforated, non-spring-biased diaphragm is inter-engaged upon the valve seat and overlaps the valve seat outer periphery. The valve seat engages a central area of the diaphragm that is not proximate the perimeter of the diaphragm, and the dome shaped structure has a sectional radius greater than the diaphragm radius. A well is recessed into the valve seat in a direction away from the diaphragm by a depth less than the height of the valve seat above the valve chamber base surface.

摘要: A transmission has a housing with interior and an exterior surfaces. A fluid passage is located in the interior of the housing. A ball-check assembly has a ball; a conical retaining chamber with an end with an inner diameter greater than the diameter of the ball, and an end with an inner diameter less than the diameter of the ball; and a conical wall extending between the two ends. The fluid passage is in fluid communication with the ball check assembly. The ball is located in the conical retaining chamber and is dimensioned to become wedged against the conical wall as the ball is moved from the greater diameter end toward the lesser diameter end, thereby providing a seal between the ends of the conical retaining chamber.
