摘要: A medical device support system including a shaft, an extension arm, and a free rotating ring. The shaft includes an elongated peripheral cavity that defines first and second contact faces at opposite peripheral ends. A hub of the extension arm is pivotably mounted for a range of at least 360 degrees rotation about a rotation axis of the shaft. The at least 360 degrees rotation range is based on a compound of a first rotation range and a second rotation range. The first rotation range is defined by a fixed stop of the hub configured to move between first and second contact faces of a radially outward protruding member of the free rotating ring. The second rotation range is defined by a radially inward protruding member of the free rotating ring configured to move between the first and second contact faces of the elongated peripheral cavity of the shaft.

The brake is transferable with the operative connection and the actuating device (14) into an operating state in which a transmission input shaft (6) interacting with the brake (33; 9, 10), is held in a rotationally fixed manner by the brake (33; 9, 10), wherein the brake (33; 9, 10) is held by the actuating (14) without any energy infeed.

摘要: A handheld work apparatus has a tool and a brake assembly for the tool. The brake assembly has an actuating element which acts on a brake element of the brake assembly. The actuating element is movable between a fixed position wherein the tool is not braked, and a released position, wherein the brake element brakes the tool. To fix the actuating element in the fixed position, an electromagnet is provided. The electromagnet interacts with an anchor on the actuating element. The anchor is mounted via a pivot joint on an anchor pin to be pivotable about a pivot axis. A guide includes a guide part connected to the anchor and a guide part connected to the yoke, wherein, in the fixed position of the actuating element, the guide parts guide the anchor relative to the yoke in a transverse direction of an outrigger of the apparatus.

The work apparatus has an operating mode selector for actuating the start enrichment device. The start enrichment device actuates the braking arrangement in at least one start position. Low actuating forces and a simple configuration are achieved when the braking arrangement is a differential band brake.

摘要: Motion control systems, devices, and methods are operable for controlling rotary motion of an actuated device. In one aspect, a motion control device is coupled between an external motive input (200) and a rotary output device (300). The motion control device has a brake core (110) configured to produce an electromagnetic field when an electric current is applied. A brake band (130) made of a magnetically responsive material surrounds the brake core (110) and is coupled to the brake core (110) when the electric current is applied. A rotor (120) that is coupled to both the external motive input (200) and the rotary output surrounds at least the perimeter of the brake band (130) and is coupled to the brake band (130) for rotation together. When the electric current is applied, the rotor (120) and the brake core (110) are thus rotatably locked together to control rotary motion generated by actuating forces imparted by the external motive input (200).
