摘要： An indicating instrument for use in radio or television receivers has one or two elongated prisms with an exposed surface, a mirrored surface and a further surface which is adjacent to the straight terminal of a pointer pivotable by a moving-coil instrument. The pivot axis of the pointer is parallel to the terminal and to the further surface of the prism. One or more scales are positioned in the housing of the indicating instrument in such a way that they are either directly observable by looking at the exposed surface of the prism or that the mirrored surface reflects their images toward the exposed surface, together with the image of the terminal which appears as a straight band and moves sideways in response to pivoting of the pointer.

摘要： A document presentation device which can place a series of preselected overlays into register with an original document and with the copying aperture of a document reproducing machine. The overlays form a web and are arranged in two groups separated from each other by an empty field which registers with the aperture when the machine is to make prints without images of overlays. The overlays of one group represent the first sheets and the overlays of the second group represent the second sheets of twosheet invoices, reminders, acknowledgments or the like. The operation is automatic as regards the sequence of moving selected overlays into register with the aperture, making a desired number of prints from selected overlays, counting the number of finished prints, resetting the empty field of the web into register with the aperture upon completion of printing from a sequence of overlays, and indicating the extent of completion of a sequence of selected copying operations.

摘要： An electrostatic copying machine wherein successive strips of a multicolored original are scanned by an illuminating unit having a diaphragm with several openings for the passage of light in different colors while the first unit moves relative to the original or vice versa. The light issuing from different openings is projected by a system of lenses and mirrors to impinge onto successive strip-shaped portions of a web or sheet of recording material whereby the light from each opening reaches the recording material between a discrete corona discharge device and an associated nozzle which discharges a fluid carrier for dispersed pigment particles. The recording material is moved relative to the corona discharge devices and nozzles or vice versa. The illuminating unit may employ differently colored light sources or one or more sources of white light in combination with differently colored filters.

摘要： A still camera for use with roll film which is adjacent to a web of backing paper and has a row of perforations, one for each film frame. When the film is being transported from a supply reel to a takeup reel, a feeler engages the film and penetrates an oncoming perforation to be thereupon entrained by the film through a predetermined distance which suffices to move a pawl from a first to a second position whereby the pawl interrupts the transport of film at the exact moment when the foremost unexposed film frame is in register with the picture taking lens. The feeler can move the pawl by way of a lever which is biased by a spring and has two notches and a cam face between the two notches. The feeler has a follower which extends into the first notch while the feeler enters an oncoming perforation and which moves along the cam face to enter the second notch while the feeler is being entrained by the film. The follower causes the lever to move the pawl to the second position not later than when the follower enters the second notch. At the same time, the lever causes the feeler to pivot to a position in which the feeler extends with clearance through the adjacent perforation and bears against the backing paper.

摘要： Apparatus for guiding the edges of webs having different widths in photographic copying machines has a roller provided with two sets of circumferential grooves and two groups of plate-like guide members which are pivotable about a common axis by means of cams provided on a camshaft so that they extend into or are withdrawn from the corresponding grooves of the roller. By moving a pair of guide members (one guide member of each pair belongs to one group and the other guide member of each pair belong to the other group) into the respective grooves, the operator provides for a web of given width a path wherein the edges of the web of such width are contacted by the respective guide members and are properly guided during transport past the exposure station of the copying machine or past another station where the web must be guided with a high degree of accuracy against lateral movement.
