    Abstract: A robotic cleaning system may include a robotic cleaner configured to generate a map of an environment and a mobile device configured to communicatively couple to the robotic cleaner, the robotic cleaner configured to communicate the map to the mobile device. The mobile device may include a camera configured to generate an image of the environment, the image comprising a plurality of pixels, a display configured to display the image and to receive a user input while displaying the image, the user input being associated with one or more of the plurality of pixels, a depth sensor configured to generate depth data that is associated with each pixel of the image, an orientation sensor configured to generate orientation data that is associated with each pixel of the image, and a mobile controller configured to localize the mobile device within the map using the depth data and the orientation data.

    Abstract: A robotic cleaner may include a body, one or more driven wheels configured to urge the body across a surface to be cleaned, one or more distance sensors disposed at least partially within the body such that the one or more distance sensors face the surface to be cleaned and a processor. The one or more distance sensors may be configured to output a measure of a detection distance that extends in a direction of the surface to be cleaned. The processor may be configured to determine whether an abnormality has been detected based, at least in part, on the measure of the detection distance and may be configured to determine a first velocity estimate based, at least in part, on the detection of the abnormality.

    Abstract: A micro puree machine including a drive motor coupled to a drive shaft via at least one gear. The drive motor is arranged to rotate a drive shaft and blade assembly. A position motor is operable to change a position of the drive shaft via rotation of the position. A user interface is arranged to: i) receive a user input to select a first routine associated with processing a first food type, and ii) display a status of the processing of the first food type while the first routine is running. A controller is arranged to: i) receive the user input selecting the first routine and retrieve the configuration data associated with the first routine, ii) control operations of the drive motor based on the configuration data associated with the first routine, and iii) control operations of the position motor based on the configuration data associated with the first routine.

    Abstract: In general, the present disclosure is directed to a time of flight (ToF) sensor arrangement that may be utilized by a robot (e.g., a robot vacuum) to identify and detect objects in a surrounding environment for mapping and localization purposes. In an embodiment, a robot is disclosed that includes a plurality of ToF sensors disposed about a housing of the robot. Two or more ToF sensors may be angled/aligned to establish overlapping field of views to form redundant detection regions around the robot. Objects that appear therein may then be detected by the robot and utilized to positively identify, e.g., with a high degree of confidence, the presence of the object. The identified objects may then be utilized as data points by the robot to build/update a map. The identified objects may also be utilized during pose routines that allow the robot to orient itself within the map.
