    摘要: There is disclosed a liquid discharge head comprising: a plurality of discharge ports for discharging a liquid; a plurality of liquid flow paths whose one end portion always communicates with each of the discharge ports and which comprise a bubble generating area for generating a bubble in the liquid; bubble generating means for generating an energy to generate and grow the bubble; a plurality of liquid supply ports, disposed in the liquid flow paths, for communicating with a common liquid supply chamber; and a movable member having a free end supported at a slight gap with respect to the liquid flow path of the liquid supply port, so that recording of a high quality level image is achieved at a high speed. When a volume of a liquid droplet discharged from the discharge port is Vd, and during discharge of the liquid from the discharge port, a drawing volume from the discharge port to a liquid surface retracted to maximum into the liquid flow path is Vm, a relation of Vd>Vm is established. Therefore, meniscus returns fast, and a refill frequency can be enhanced.

    摘要: There is disclosed a liquid discharge head comprises a discharge port for discharging a liquid, a liquid flow path with one end constantly communicating with the discharge port and with a bubble generating area for generating a bubble in the liquid, a liquid supply port disposed in the liquid flow path and connected to a common liquid supply chamber for storing the liquid to be supplied to the liquid flow path, a plurality of bubble generating means, disposed in the liquid flow path, for generating the bubble in the liquid, and a plate-like movable member disposed in the liquid flow path with the side of the discharge port supported as a free end at a gap of 10 &mgr;m or less with respect to the liquid supply port on the side of the liquid flow path, and provided with a projection area larger than an opening area of the liquid supply port. The discharge port is in a linear communication state with the bubble generating means, and by driving the bubble generating means for generating the bubble with a smallest volume among the plurality of bubble generating means, the movable member seals and substantially shuts off the liquid supply port, which can increase a discharge amount ratio of liquid droplets, equalize liquid droplet discharge speeds, and raise a refill frequency after discharge.

A cross sectional shape of an opening of the opening portion is a shape of a circular cone frustum in which the opening and a bottom surface are coupled via an inclined surface. The slit is formed in the rectangular bottom surface. The joint member is sandwiched between a casing and a pressing plate. The inserting portion and the supporting fixing portion exist in planes which are different in the inserting direction of a liquid supply needle.

To attain this, distance (L1) is set to be shorter than distance (L2), where the distance (L1) is the one between a joint section (145) positioned in the proximity of a front surface (1A) of an ink cartridge (1) and an engage reference portion (135) serving as a reference position when the ink cartridge (1) is installed in the inkjet printing apparatus; and the distance (L2) is the one between the front surface (1A) of the ink cartridge (1) and the engage reference portion (135).
