摘要： A method and system are provided for transmitting broadcast service data in a wireless communication system using an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) scheme in which data transmission is achieved through a downlink and an uplink within one frame. The system being connected to a broadcast server. The system and method include allocating a connection identifier (CID) to each broadcast service for identification of a broadcast service packet transmitted over the downlink, and transmitting broadcast service information for each broadcast service; and receiving a broadcast packet from the broadcast server, and transmitting a physical layer transmission information element (DL-MAP) including a broadcast service CID for the broadcast packet through the downlink0.

摘要： An apparatus and method for multiplexing packets for broadcast services in a mobile communication system based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The OFDM system has a transmission structure in which one slot includes at least two symbols, and each symbol includes a plurality of subcarriers. Different broadcast service packets received from at least two channels are multiplexed into one slot and a result of the multiplexing is transmitted. Overhead information of the channel packets multiplexed into the one slot is generated and transmitted.

Reception strength of the pilot channel is measured. It is checked whether the number of active sets being managed by the terminal is greater than or equal to the predetermined maximum number of supportable active sets. It is determined whether to transmit a pilot to the base station according to the checking result.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for performing power control on a reverse channel quality indicator channel (CQICH) received from a mobile station by a base station in a mobile communication system including the base station for transmitting a power control bit for power control on reverse channels and the mobile station for controlling transmission power of the reverse channels according to the power control bit. An erasure detector determines whether to perform an erasure process by measuring reception power of the reverse channel quality indicator channel. An erasure rate calculator accumulates the erasure-determined result for N slots and calculates an erasure rate for the N slots. A control bit generator determines a ratio control bit to be transmitted to the mobile station according to the erasure rate, to issue a command to increase or decrease a CQICH traffic-to-pilot ratio.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting data to access terminals by an access node in a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system operating at least 128 Medium Access Control Identifiers (MAC IDs) in one sector. A preamble set for transmitting a multi-user packet (MUP) is configured to a specific access terminal, information on the preamble set is provided to the terminal, and data is transmitted to an access terminal having a MAC ID of 128 or higher using a preamble corresponding to the MAC ID. If a specific access terminal has a MAC ID of 128 or higher, the preamble set includes at least one preamble with which the access terminal determines whether the MUP is received. The access node provides information on the preamble set to the access terminal during session configuration.

摘要： A reduced slot cycle (RSC) mode control method is provided for observing a paging slot by a mobile station to receive a message transmitted from a base station in a mobile communication system. The method includes the steps of determining at least one parameter related to an operation time of the RSC mode and the number of operation periods where the mobile station operate with different slot cycle indexes (SCIs), through an exchange of at least one message with the base station, calculating a per-SCI operation time in the RSC mode operation time using the determined parameter, and starting the RSC mode, setting a reduced slot cycle index (RSCI) as an initial value of the SCI determined between the mobile station and the base station, wherein the RSCI has a value smaller than an SCI value of an idle state, increasing the SCI value step by step each time the SCI operation time of slot period arrives, and terminating the RSC mode if the increased SCI value reaches the SCI value of the idle state.

An AN within a cell calculates the total load of a reverse link by measuring the total energy of the reverse link from ATs within the cell. The AN calculates the share of each AT in the total reverse link load. If the load share of an AT is greater than a threshold predetermined individually for the AT, the AN determines that the AT should reduce its data rate.
