    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for performing power control on a reverse channel quality indicator channel (CQICH) received from a mobile station by a base station in a mobile communication system including the base station for transmitting a power control bit for power control on reverse channels and the mobile station for controlling transmission power of the reverse channels according to the power control bit. An erasure detector determines whether to perform an erasure process by measuring reception power of the reverse channel quality indicator channel. An erasure rate calculator accumulates the erasure-determined result for N slots and calculates an erasure rate for the N slots. A control bit generator determines a ratio control bit to be transmitted to the mobile station according to the erasure rate, to issue a command to increase or decrease a CQICH traffic-to-pilot ratio.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for determining a transmission unit for data stream transmission in a wireless communication system in which multiple transmission and reception antennas are used and a receiver provides information on a data stream to be transmitted through a transmission unit. A fading estimator calculates fading values from the multiple transmission antennas to the multiple reception antennas. A channel quality estimator reverse-orders combined weights for multiple transmission units based on the fading values from the multiple transmission antennas to the multiple reception antennas, successively selects transmission units for data stream transmission among the reverse-ordered transmission units, determines a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for each of the selected transmission units, and feeds back the MCS to a transmitter.

    摘要: An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service. A transmission processor generates a modulated symbol by encoding, interleaving and modulating a physical layer packet to be transmitted, and arranges the modulated symbol in a data tone. A tone inserter inserts a guard tone and a pilot tone into the data tone. A tone power allocator sets a different pilot-to-data tone power ratio according to a position of a slot, in which the packet data symbol is included, and allocates power according to the pilot-to-data tone power ratio. A transmitter transmits the packet data symbol.
