Abstract: Various arrangements for performing intelligent cellular channel management are presented herein. A physical cellular communication channel may be established between a user equipment (UE) and a cellular network for sending a short message service (SMS) message in response to a cellular service request from the UE. One or more characteristics of the UE, the SMS message, or both may be analyzed. A duration of time for which the physical cellular communication channel is to be kept active may be based on the analyzed one or more characteristics. A channel maintenance instruction may be transmitted to keep the physical cellular communication channel active based on a cellular network messaging controller determining to adjust the duration of time for which the physical cellular communication channel is kept active.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method performed by a UE device that routes traffic to a 5G Core Network. The method includes receiving a first ATSSS rule including first traffic descriptor information corresponding to a first type of traffic for a first type of service and first steering mode information including a first network indicator corresponding to a first MNO, and a second ATSSS rule including second traffic descriptor information corresponding to a second type of traffic for a second type of service and second steering mode information including a second network indicator corresponding to a first MVNO or a second MNO; transmitting the first type of traffic for the first type of service a first 3GPP access network operated by the first MNO; and transmitting the second type of traffic for the second type of service to the first 3GPP access network operated by the first MNO.

Abstract: An approach for estimating Round Trip Time (RTT) such as used for estimating a location of mobile User Equipment (UE) devices, particularly adapted for Open Radio Access Networks (O-RANs) that disaggregate basestation functions into a Radio Unit (RU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) or Central Unit (CU). A Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) is transmitted by the RU according to schedule determined by the DU or CU. A Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) is returned by the UE to the DU or CU, with an estimate by the UE of its internal delay. The RU reports an estimate of the difference seen between a time of transmission of the PRS and time of reception of the SRS. The RTT is then estimated by subtracting the UE's internal delay from this difference. RTTs taken between the UE and two or more RU's may further determine a location of the UE.

Abstract: An example system and method may manage interference for wireless devices in a non-terrestrial network environment. Abstract: Uplink and downlink resources within a wireless network are assigned such that interference is mitigated. An uplink resource and a downlink resource are each specified by a respective time domain resource and frequency domain resource, and chosen to enable full duplex operation at least part of the time. A relative spacing between the frequency domain resource allocated for the uplink and the frequency domain resource allocated for the downlink is then chosen depending on a Channel Quality Index (CQI) or some other indicator of radio frequency (RF) signal strength.

Abstract: A first cellular network may connect user equipment (UE) with a data network using a first anchor point. The first cellular network may transition the UE from the first anchor point to a second anchor point. Following the transitioning, the first cellular network may connect the UE with the data network using the second anchor point. The UE may then be transitioned from the second anchor point to a converged anchor point of the first cellular network. The UE may be locked to the converged anchor point while the UE is communicating with a second cellular network.
