A method of operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a channel access request (CARQ) over a downlink channel and generating a channel access response (CARP). The CARP includes a response to information indicated in the CARQ. The method further includes including the CARP in uplink control information (UCI), determining a set of time or frequency domain resources for transmitting the UCI, and transmitting the UCI based on the determined set of time or frequency domain resources.

摘要: Measurement resources are often limited in 5G and 4G-LTE communications. As a result, SMTC and CSI-RS measurement windows will occasionally be assigned to the same resource elements of a signal frame. This results in a collision that must be resolved, since both measurements cannot be performed simultaneously. The collision can be resolved using restriction, where overlapping resource elements are assigned to either the SMTC or the CSI-RS measurements, or can be resolved using measurement sharing, where overlapping resource elements are divided among the two measurements according to a measurement sharing factor. Various factors, including priority or window periodicity may be taken into account by the measurement rules that dictate collision resolution.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to define a strand upstream of a direction based traffic (DBT) link. In a method, a strand is defined upstream of a DBT link. The method includes extending the strand so as to include one or more links upstream of the DBT link. The strand is extended by determining whether a link is to be added to the strand based upon evaluation of a termination criteria. The termination criteria is at least partially based upon a relationship of a function class of the link to the function class of one or more other links. In an instance in which the termination criteria is satisfied, the method ceases further extension of the strand.

摘要: A method is provided for operating a station for simultaneous communication over: a first, Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) Radio Access Network (RAN) using a first carrier signal; and a second, Time Division Duplex (TDD) RAN using a second carrier signal at a higher frequency than a frequency of the first carrier signal, wherein transmissions from the station using the first carrier signal cause interference to reception at the station over the second, TDD RAN. The method comprises aligning a timing of transmissions from the station over the first, FDD RAN to a timing for transmissions from the station over the second, TDD RAN.
